I offer sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturday mornings. I have some flexibility for other evenings by arrangement.
I work online and by phone, so you can access sessions from wherever suits you. This works well whether you are short on time, prefer the privacy and comfort of your own space, or simply find it easier to open up without being face-to-face.
About me and my therapy practice
Are you grieving a person, a pet, a relationship, or a version of your life that's changed? Or finding that anxiety, low self-worth, burnout, or a difficult past are making everyday life feel harder than it should?
You may have spent years coping, supporting others, or appearing to manage, whilst inside you feel exhausted, stuck, or unsure what you actually need. Many people come to therapy believing they should be coping better, or wondering why they can't simply 'move on'. Often, once we understand your experiences and the story behind them, things start to make more sense.
I work with adults navigating grief, trauma, anxiety, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, burnout and major life transitions, including bereavement that isn't always recognised by others, such as the loss of a pet. My master's research explored the human-animal bond, and I understand how profound and misunderstood that particular grief can be.
Therapy with me is collaborative and led by you, in a calm space where you don't have to pretend you're coping.
Practice description
Feeling safe enough to be yourself, without judgement or pressure, is an important part of the therapeutic process. My approach is collaborative, and I won't tell you what you should feel or what you need to do; instead, I will work alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and respect, in a place that feels right for you.
My core training is in person-centred counselling, which means I place great importance on empathy, acceptance and the therapeutic relationship. Alongside this, I work in a trauma-informed way, recognising that everyone has their own story, and paying careful attention to emotional safety, trust and pacing.
I've also completed a breathwork training, Breathing for Calm, with Nicola Pott. This has given me additional tools I can draw on when it feels helpful, particularly for anxiety or when it might be helpful to find a sense of calm and steadiness in the body, alongside the talking process.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as a teacher in both the UK and Asia, supporting young people academically and pastorally. Growing up, I also lived across different countries and cultures, shaping my understanding of identity, belonging, and the many experiences that influence who we become.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a counsellor for a well-established charity, supporting adults experiencing bereavement, trauma, domestic abuse and other significant life challenges.
I don't believe therapy is about fixing people. I believe it's about creating space to understand yourself with greater compassion, make sense of your experiences, and recognise the strengths that may have been hidden beneath everything you've been carrying
