About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling overwhelmed? Maybe you feel weighed down by by life, loss or clutter? You are not alone. I support people dealing with grief, life transitions and hoarding behaviours, to release what holds them back. The result? More space, clarity and freedom to embrace a life you love.

I help people navigate life's challenges- whether its grief, a shift in identity, or feeling overwhelmed by clutter and possessions. Many of my clients arrive feeling stuck, empty or weighted down - emotionally, mentally and physically. My work is about creating space to process emotions, space to rediscover purpose and space to live with clarity and perspective.

Practice description

I'm a trained counsellor, with experience of working within Cruse Bereavement Service and general practice for several years, and I specialise in grief, loss and life transitions. I support clients in processing emotions, rebuilding identity, and moving forward with confidence.

My work has included bereavement, coping with university, menopause, life expectation changes, childlessness, caring for elderly parents, breakdown in family life, recovery from abuse or bullying, and career changes.

Alongside counselling, I work as a declutter coach with people who struggle with hoarding behaviours or overwhelming spaces. Together we create practical strategies to declutter, organise and reclaim physical and mental space, helping clients feel more in control of their lives.

Whether through emotional support, practical guidance or a combination of both, my goal is to help you release what no longer serves you and create a life that feels lighter, freer and full of purpose.

My first session

I understand how scary reaching out for help can be so I offer a free 15 minute phone call to introduce myself and to answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process. Let me reassure you that therapy doesn't have to be a difficult experience, it can be uncomfortable and emotional but it can also be enlightening, creative and fun.

Following my free initial call, my session rates are £50 for a full hour.

I work in a cosy room in my home in Chippenham which is a comfortable, confidential, safe space. Our sessions can be in person, online or by phone or a mixture depending on what suits you best. I can do home visits starting from £65 per hour depending on where you live.

There is no obligation to sign up to a minimum number of sessions and you can finish whenever it feels right to you.

I am an integrative therapist which means I use exercises from all sorts of therapy types, including: Internal family systems, guided imagery, prompt cards, CBT worksheets, sand tray work and more.

I recommend starting with weekly sessions to build momentum but can be flexible about frequency of session. I can also provide slightly longer sessions or home visits.

About me and my therapy practice

Do you often feel like you are 'not good enough'? Do you have a nagging inner critic that makes you feel worthless? Or are you feeling lost or depressed with no obvious reason for these feelings? I can help you regain your self-worth, to help you hear your own positive voice again. I gently challenge long-held self-doubts, allowing you to begin putting yourself first, through supportive, non-judgmental therapy and the resetting of healthy boundaries.

I have personal lived experience of growing up with criticism and invalidation, so I truly understand the pain of feeling 'not good enough'. These feelings might stem from many places, childhood bullying, critical parents, abusive partners, or just being made to feel that you were different or didn't belong - whether through neurodiversity, struggles with identity or simply feeling out of step with others - it has meant years of masking, misunderstandings or exclusion leading to burnout, feelings of isolation or poor mental health.

I have a warm and friendly manner with a down-to-earth approach. My methods are about providing a space where you feel safe to explore who you are and be honest with yourself. I provide a free initial 15-minute telephone call to introduce myself. There is no obligation, you have to make sure I'm the right therapist for you. I invite you to be brave and email me to set up that first phone call and start putting your mental health at the top of your to-do list.

Practice description

I'm a fully qualified integrative therapist, educated to degree level in counselling. I have experience in general counselling and bereavement counselling. I have supported many clients with neurodiversity, as well as mentoring university students and working with hoarding behaviours, traumas and identity issues.

I have an active style of counselling, asking thoughtful questions and exploring what drains or fuels you and challenging unhelpful beliefs or assumptions. I use many different exercises to gain insight, including visualisations, prompt cards or work sheets. But these are all just ways to stimulate discussion and understanding by talking.

The hard work is done by you, change can be hard and doesn't come without effort. I'm here to support you while that happens, no one needs to walk that path alone.
