About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully qualified integrative therapist, dedicated to providing a compassionate and professional space for those seeking support. My approach is centred around creating a warm, non-judgemental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore their emotions and challenges.

My work is rooted in person-centred therapy, which places you at the heart of the process, ensuring our sessions focus on what matters most to you.  I integrate elements of attachment theory and psychodynamic approaches, exploring how past experiences may influence your present emotions and behaviours. Above all, counselling is a collaborative process, and we will work together to find the approach that best supports your growth, self-awareness, and emotional wellbeing.

With a background in both the corporate world and education, I have always been drawn to understanding people and helping them navigate life’s complexities. My experience has taught me the value of listening deeply, offering genuine support, and adapting my approach to each person’s unique needs. I believe in working collaboratively with clients, helping them develop self-awareness, resilience, and the confidence to move forward in ways that feel right for them.

I offer both face-to-face sessions and online counselling, ensuring accessible support tailored to individual preferences and circumstances. I work online from Sandhurst in Berkshire, and I see clients face to face in a private counselling room in Sunninghill, Berkshire. There is car park offering free parking next to the practice. It is easily accessible from Ascot, Bracknell, Windsor, Camberley, Wokingham, and Egham, as well as the surrounding areas.

Practice description

Life’s challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming, leaving you uncertain about the way forward.

Counselling provides a supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings, helping you gain clarity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of yourself.

Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to go through it alone.

I work with both adults and children and young people (13+).

Many adults struggle with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, family pressures, or the demands of work and daily life. Counselling provides a safe, supportive, and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain clarity, and develop strategies to help you feel more in control of your life.

Adolescence can be a difficult and overwhelming time. Many young people experience anxiety, low self-esteem, friendship struggles, family issues, or the pressures of school and social media.   I work with young people aged 13 and over, adapting my approach to meet their unique needs. For some, traditional talk therapy is helpful, while others may find creative methods such as drawing, storytelling, or interactive activities more effective in expressing themselves. This flexible approach ensures that every young person feels comfortable and heard, particularly those who struggle with verbal communication.

I hold a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Counselling (University of Surrey)

CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling

Certificate in Trauma-Informed Practice

Certificate in Working Therapeutically with Autistic Clients

My first session

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, which is why I offer a free 20-minute consultation over the phone with clients or their parents.

This is a chance for us to have a relaxed conversation about what’s on your mind, how I work, and whether counselling feels like the right fit for you.

There’s no pressure or obligation—just an opportunity to explore what you need.

If we both feel happy, we can arrange a first session chargeable at my session rate.  This first session will give us both an opportunity to get to know each other.   You are free to decide if you would like to arrange another session.

Therapy sessions for individuals (adults and young people) lasts up to 50 minutes, usually taking place on a weekly basis. Sessions cost £60.

Some clients choose to only have a few sessions, some prefer sessions for the longer term. The choice is always yours. Together we can decide what is right for you.

I accept payment by bank transfer, to be made in advance of each session.

Cancellation Policy: If, for any reason, you need to cancel an appointment, I require 24 hours' notice to avoid being charged for any sessions missed.
