Availability
I currently have availability for new clients and welcome enquiries from adults, young people, and children.
I work Monday to Friday, with appointments available between 10:00am and 9:00pm. This broad range of hours means I can accommodate clients who work during the day, as well as those who prefer early evening sessions.
Sessions are available in person at my practice in Anfield, Liverpool, or online via secure video call - whichever works best for you.
Please note: I will be taking a break from 17th April to 26th April 2025 and will not be available for sessions during this period. I will respond to any enquiries received during this time as soon as I return on 28th April.
If you would like to get in touch, please don't hesitate to reach out. I offer a free 20-minute consultation call - no obligation, no pressure - which you can book directly through my website.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a person-centred and humanistic counsellor, which means I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to direct or advise, but to walk alongside you - offering a genuinely safe, non-judgemental space where you can begin to explore what you're carrying and find your own way through it.
I am calm and softly spoken by nature, and clients often tell me they feel more regulated and at ease just being in our shared space. I believe that feeling safe with your counsellor is the foundation of everything, and I take that seriously.
I draw on trauma-informed practice and a range of creative therapeutic tools - including emotion cards, emotion wheels, road maps, self-reflection activities, and creative expression - always led by what feels right for you in that moment. If you're not sure what you're feeling, or struggle to find the words, we can work with that too.
I have a particular interest in the grief and loss that often goes unspoken - including the invisible grief experienced by men after pregnancy loss - and I hold specialist qualifications in pregnancy and infant loss, rainbow babies, and infertility. I also work with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-worth, addiction, and more.
I hold a first-class BSc (Hons) in Counselling and have experience across NHS primary care, university mental health, and school counselling settings. I am a Â鶹Դ´ member with accreditation currently in progress.
Practice description
I work from a private, quiet practice in Anfield, Liverpool (L4), accessible by public transport with parking available nearby. The space is designed to feel as comfortable and safe as possible - somewhere you can genuinely relax and be yourself.
Online sessions are available UK-wide via secure video call and work in exactly the same way as in-person sessions. Many clients find online working suits their lifestyle, and the therapeutic relationship is just as strong.
Sessions are 50 minutes and cost £50. A concession rate of £40 is available for students, NHS workers, and those on a low income - please mention this when you get in touch.
I work with adults, young people, and children of all ages. Sessions for younger clients use creative and play-based approaches tailored to their age and stage.
I typically offer weekly or fortnightly sessions - there is no fixed number. Some people benefit from short-term focused work; others prefer longer-term support. We find what works for you.
I uphold Â鶹Դ´ ethical standards, maintain full GDPR compliance, hold current Safeguarding Level 3 qualifications, and carry full professional indemnity insurance. Confidentiality is central to our work together, and I will always explain clearly the limited circumstances in which it may need to be broken.
My first session
Before your first session, I will send you an online client information form and a therapy contract to complete at your own pace. This means we don't spend valuable session time on paperwork - you arrive ready to begin.
The first session starts with a brief, relaxed reminder of the key practicalities: our commitment to the work together, the cancellation policy, and most importantly the confidentiality agreement - including the specific circumstances in which confidentiality may need to be broken. I want you to feel fully informed and safe before we go any deeper.
From there, the session is yours. There is no formal assessment or structured intake process - I simply invite you to share whatever feels right at that moment. Some people arrive knowing exactly what they want to talk about. Others aren't sure where to start. Both are completely fine.
The first session costs £50, the same as all subsequent sessions. Before booking, I offer a free 20-minute consultation call where you can get a feel for how I work and ask any questions - with no commitment or pressure to proceed.
Please note my cancellation policy: I require a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may incur the full session fee. I will always aim to be flexible where genuine emergencies arise.
