About me and my therapy practice

My therapeutic work is based on the understanding that our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and bodies are deeply connected. Many people come to therapy knowing something feels difficult or out of balance, but without a clear understanding of why. I offer a gentle, supportive space to explore both conscious experiences and those held beneath awareness, helping you make sense of what is happening and move towards meaningful change.

My psychotherapy practice is informed by the Kestenberg Movement Profile (KMP), a developmental psychology approach that focuses on movement and bodily patterns. This means I pay attention not only to words, but also to how the body communicates through posture, breathing, tension, or soothing gestures. When appropriate, I may gently reflect these observations, as they can offer insight into emotions or experiences that have not yet found words, particularly when clients feel stuck or overwhelmed.

Alongside this somatic awareness, I draw from Transactional Analysis (TA), a practical and accessible model for understanding relationships, communication patterns, and beliefs about self that may have developed earlier in life. TA supports greater awareness and choice, helping clients make changes that better support their wellbeing.

My counselling work is grounded in a person-centered approach. I aim to offer a safe, accepting, and non-judgmental therapeutic space, providing attentive listening and empathy. You are invited to explore what feels important at your own pace.

Somatic practice, informed by my background in movement and dance, also plays an important role. When appropriate and always with consent, body awareness can support the exploration of early or deeply held experiences, including trauma. All work is collaborative and guided by what feels safe and manageable for you.

Practice description

My practice offers a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore emotional, relational, and bodily experiences at their own pace. I work with adults who may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, and who want to better understand themselves and create meaningful change.

Sessions are collaborative and led by what feels most important to you. I draw from a person-centred approach, offering attentive listening, empathy, and respect, so that you feel safe and accepted in the therapeutic relationship. Many clients find that having this steady and containing space allows them to reflect more clearly and begin to make sense of their difficulties.

My work integrates talking therapy with somatic awareness, recognising that experiences are often held in the body as well as the mind. I am informed by the Kestenberg Movement Profile (KMP), which supports awareness of posture, breathing, tension, and soothing patterns. When appropriate, I may gently invite reflection on these bodily responses, as they can offer insight into emotions or experiences that are not yet fully conscious.

I also draw from Transactional Analysis (TA), a practical psychological model that helps explore relationship patterns, communication styles, and beliefs about self that may have developed earlier in life. This can support greater awareness, choice, and understanding in both personal and relational contexts.

Somatic practices such as gentle body awareness or reflection may be included when appropriate and always with consent. These approaches can support emotional regulation, recovery from stress, and the exploration of early or deeply held experiences, including trauma.

I offer therapy by working co-creatively with clients, within the time frame they need. Sessions are guided by what feels safe, manageable, and supportive, with the aim of increasing self-awareness, connection, and wellbeing.

My first session

I offer two ways of initiating the work with my clients,

1st - To offer a free 30 minuet introduction session. This is not a therapy session but more to be able to both get a sense of each other and the space.
