About me and my therapy practice

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I offer a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly and feel understood. I’m a Â鶹ԭ´´â€‘registered therapist with over five years’ experience working with adults facing addiction, anxiety, depression, low self‑esteem, relationship difficulties, stress, grief, and life transitions.

My approach is integrative and person‑centred, meaning I tailor our work to your needs and pace. You’ll be met with warmth, clarity, and a non‑judgemental environment where we can explore what’s happening in your life and what you want to change.

I have extensive experience in addiction and co‑occurring mental health conditions. I currently work as an Addiction Manager at The Priory, North London, providing therapy to inpatients and outpatients and supporting the Addiction Treatment Programme. My previous work with Humankind involved supporting clients with complex emotional and behavioural challenges.

I hold an MSc in Addiction Psychology and Counselling and am a registered member of both Â鶹ԭ´´ and Addiction Professionals. Whether we meet online or in person, my focus is on helping you feel grounded, supported, and more in control. Clients often describe sessions as steady, safe, and clarifying.

If you’re considering therapy, you’re welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation to see whether working together feels right for you.

Practice description

My practice is built around creating a space where you can slow down, breathe, and be fully yourself. Therapy with me is warm, steady, and grounded in acceptance. You can expect a calm, supportive environment where your experiences are taken seriously and where you’re met with empathy rather than judgement.

I work relationally and integratively, drawing on what feels most helpful for you. Together, we explore the thoughts, feelings, and patterns that may be shaping your life whether that’s anxiety, depression, addiction, low self‑esteem, or the impact of past experiences. I pay close attention to the whole of who you are: your history, relationships, cultural background, identity, and the moments that have shaped you. All of these influence how you feel today, and they guide the work we do together.

The relationship we build is central. Many of the patterns that cause distress are rooted in early experiences and can show up in how you relate to others, how you cope, or how you see yourself. By gently exploring what happens between us in the room, we can uncover deeper emotional dynamics that often sit just outside of awareness. This can be a powerful way to understand long‑standing struggles and begin to shift them.

We may look at memories, past relationships, or recurring themes in your life to help make sense of what’s happening now. Sometimes dreams or symbolic images can offer insight into fears, needs, or emotions that are harder to put into words. As therapy progresses, you’ll start to recognise the unconscious influences behind your thoughts and behaviours, giving you more choice, clarity, and freedom to move forward.

My aim is for you to feel supported, understood, and empowered as you navigate whatever you’re facing. Over time, many clients describe feeling more grounded, more connected to themselves, and more able to make meaningful changes in their lives.

My first session

I offer a complimentary telephone call before we begin. This is a gentle first step where you can share what’s been going on for you, ask any questions, and get a sense of whether working together feels comfortable. It’s also a chance for me to understand what you’re hoping for from therapy and how I might support you.

If you decide to move forward, our first full session is an exploratory one. It’s a space for us to slow down and look together at what’s brought you here, what you’re struggling with, and what you’d like to change. We might talk about your current concerns, any relevant background, and what you want from the therapeutic process. I may ask a few reflective or assessment‑based questions, but the focus is always on helping you feel safe, understood, and grounded.

There’s no pressure to commit after this session. If we both feel that the fit is right, ongoing sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly. This regular rhythm helps build trust and gives us the consistency needed for deeper work to unfold.

My aim throughout the first contact and initial session is to help you feel supported as you take this step, and to give you a clear sense of what therapy with me will feel like.
