About me and my therapy practice

Beginning therapy is a courageous step, and my role is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and care. I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore what’s on your mind at your own pace.

I work integratively, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches—tailoring our work together to suit your unique needs, experiences, and goals. Sometimes this means focusing on present challenges; other times, it may involve gently exploring past experiences to understand how they shape your current patterns and feelings.

Sessions are collaborative. You are the expert in your life, and I aim to support you in becoming more aware of your thoughts, behaviours, and emotional world. Together, we can make sense of what you’re going through, develop helpful coping strategies, and work toward meaningful change.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, relationship issues, identity questions, or simply feeling stuck or overwhelmed—I’m here to listen and help.

Practice description

I offer a compassionate, confidential, and collaborative space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. Whether you're facing anxiety, low mood, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to support you.

My approach is grounded in empathy and respect. I work integratively, drawing from evidence-based therapeutic models to suit your unique needs and goals. I believe that therapy is not about fixing you—because you are not broken—but about gently understanding what you’ve been through and finding ways to move forward with greater clarity, self-compassion, and resilience.

Together, we’ll create a safe space where all parts of you are welcome.

My first session

Your First Session at New Horizon Therapy

Your first session is a warm and welcoming space to explore what brings you to therapy. It’s an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a relationship based on trust, safety, and respect.

What to Expect:

A gentle pace: There’s no pressure to share everything right away. We’ll go at a pace that feels right for you.

Listening to your story: I’ll ask a few questions about what’s been going on for you, what support you’re looking for, and any previous experiences with therapy.

Setting goals (if helpful): Together, we might begin to identify what you’d like to get out of therapy—whether that’s gaining insight, finding relief, or making changes.

Space for questions: You’re welcome to ask anything—about the way I work, the therapy process, or anything else you’re curious or unsure about.

Practical Information:

Sessions last 50 minutes and are held in-person/online, depending on your preference.

You don’t need to prepare anything in advance—just come as you are.

We’ll also review a brief therapy agreement that covers topics such as confidentiality, cancellations, and our working arrangement.
