About me and my therapy practice

Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and begin to understand yourself with greater kindness and clarity.

Hello, I’m Lucy. I’m an integrative, person-centred therapist offering a warm, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.

I believe the therapeutic relationship itself can be a powerful place for healing, growth, and new understanding. My aim is to provide a space where you feel genuinely heard, accepted, and able to speak freely about whatever may be on your mind.

My approach is grounded in person-centred therapy while also drawing on attachment-based understanding. This can help us gently explore how past relationships and experiences may still be shaping how you feel about yourself and others today. With curiosity and care, we can begin to notice patterns, deepen self-awareness, and open up new ways of relating.

I work with openness, flexibility, and patience, recognising that each person’s story is unique. Together we can find a way of working that feels comfortable and supportive for you.

Before training as a therapist, I worked as a voice coach and meditation guide. This experience deepened my appreciation of the body–mind connection, and sometimes we may gently bring awareness to the body as another way of understanding emotions or stress.

Taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting. You’re welcome to come exactly as you are. My hope is to offer a steady, compassionate space where you can reflect, feel supported, and move forward in ways that feel meaningful for you.

Practice description

Sometimes life can feel challenging or overwhelming. There may be times when it feels difficult to turn to friends or loved ones, perhaps out of a wish not to burden them, and finding a way through on your own can feel hard.

In these moments, it can help to share what you’re carrying with someone whose role is simply to listen and understand.

Having the space to be open and speak freely can help us begin to untangle what we’re feeling and what we truly need. From there, we can start to explore what feels important to you, and what changes you may want to make.

As we connect more deeply with our feelings and experiences, healing and new understanding can begin to emerge. Having someone alongside you who believes in you and supports you can strengthen your resilience and help you feel more able to face life’s challenges.

Sometimes the most important step is simply allowing yourself a space where your experience truly matters.

My first session

When you contact me, I offer an initial consultation free of charge, where we can discuss your needs and I can answer any questions.

Sessions are 50 minutes and take place each week, online or by telephone. I offer short-term, long-term, and open-ended therapy.
