About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor working in Cambridgeshire. I provide a warm, safe and confidential space where we can explore life’s challenges together and the changes you would like to make for your future. Sessions are usually weekly and can be face to face, in my counselling room or remotely via Zoom or telephone, whichever feels more comfortable for you.
I am committed to providing a space where you can feel heard, valued, and supported.
Life can present various challenges, and counselling can be a transformative tool to ease emotional issues such as anxiety and depression. Whether you've experienced childhood trauma, struggle with social situations and relationships, or find it challenging to overcome daily struggles, we can work together to understand your feelings. Together, we will explore what is overwhelming and difficult, identify your strengths and develop strategies to move forward.
Practice description
I hold a Level 4 diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and my training was integrative which incorporates, psychodynamic, humanistic and existential modalities. This enables me to tailor the session to you, drawing on different aspects of my training and experience depending on your needs. Putting you at the centre, as you are the expert of you.
In addition to my private practice, I volunteer with a Cambridge charity supporting individuals who have experienced childhood sexual abuse, working to ease the effects this has on day to day life. I also support staff in organisations and school trusts and have extensive experience of supporting mental health in primary schools.
I am a qualified Group Work Practitioner and facilitate therapy groups both face to face and online. Many find that working in groups can provide a sense of unity and connectedness, to feel less alone by sharing experiences with others.
I offer a professional, confidential counselling service tailored to support the wellbeing of school staff across your setting or Trust. With over 20 years’ experience in primary education and mental health, I bring a deep understanding of the complex pressures faced by educators and the impact these can have on staff wellbeing, retention, and overall school culture.
Working in partnership with headteachers and Trust leaders, I provide a safe, independent space where staff can speak openly, reflect, and feel genuinely heard without judgement. My approach is warm, practical, and responsive, helping individuals manage stress, prevent burnout, and build sustainable resilience.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapist (Â鶹Դ´) and am supervised by an experienced, Â鶹Դ´ registered senior counsellor. I have full Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance and I hold an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
