About me and my therapy practice
I’m an integrative counsellor offering thoughtful, down-to-earth counselling for when life feels difficult, overwhelming or stuck. Sometimes you know exactly what has brought you to counselling. At other times, it can be harder to explain. You might be managing life on the outside while feeling anxious, overwhelmed or low underneath, noticing the same patterns in relationships or situations, or simply feeling that something isn’t quite right.
Counselling can give you space to slow things down and begin to make sense of what is happening. Together, we can explore not only how you are feeling, but what may be sitting underneath it – helping you understand yourself, your experiences and what you need more clearly.
As an integrative counsellor, I don’t believe in working from a script or trying to fit you into a particular way of doing therapy. I draw on different approaches depending on you, what you bring and what feels most helpful. Above all, I aim to offer a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, without judgement or pressure.
I work with a range of difficulties including anxiety, overwhelm, low mood, grief and loss, relationship difficulties and life transitions. Sometimes current struggles are connected to earlier experiences or familiar patterns that keep repeating. At other times there may be no obvious explanation at all. We can be curious about this together, at a pace that feels manageable for you.
It is important to me that you remain at the centre of the work. I see you as the expert on your own life; my role is to work alongside you, helping you develop greater insight and self-awareness and find ways forward that feel meaningful and right for you.
I am happy to talk through what is bringing you to counselling and answer any questions you may have before we decide whether working together feels right for you.
