About me and my therapy practice
Getting help can seem like a daunting and impossible task, whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction or many other mental health issues. I believe that with the right counselling you can take back control of your life.
I provide a safe, non-judgemental space to explore the things that might be impacting your life. The kind of counselling I offer is called person centered.
I believe that you know yourself best and that by working together we can explore the things that might be on your mind or holding you back from achieving and living a fulfilling life.
Practice description
Counselling offers a unique experience not normally available to us in everyday life. It can be hard to open up and talk about the things that are bothering us with friends, family and loved ones. Often we are met with responses that are unhelpful, biased or out of context. These responses from friends, family and loved ones are often meant to be helpful however they might not come across that way.
By engaging in counselling over a number of sessions with a trained counsellor it is possible to work through our thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviours in a safe space. This process can feel a little strange at first however, being given the opportunity to discuss whatever is one your mind and really be listened to and understood can be an unique experience promoting positive therapeutic change.
What I can help with
Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Addictions, Anger management, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Depression, Disability, Eating disorders, Identity issues, Infertility, Loss, Men's issues, Neurodiversity, Obsessions, OCD, Phobias, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Substance Dependency, Trauma, Work related issues
Types of therapy
Behavioural, CBT, Humanistic, Integrative, Person centred, Solution focused brief therapy

About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified counsellor and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MÂ鶹Դ´). I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences at their own pace.
I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel difficult, particularly if you are feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed or unsure about what you need. My aim is to offer a calm and supportive therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, respected and accepted.
I work collaboratively, placing importance on trust, empathy and understanding, and tailoring therapy to suit each individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
I offer face to face, online and telephone counselling.
In-person counselling sessions take place in a private and comfortable therapy room in Leigh-on-Sea.
I work with clients across Benfleet, Canvey Island, Leigh-on-Sea, Westcliff-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea, Basildon, Pitsea and Hadleigh, as well as those further afield who prefer online or telephone counselling.
This flexibility allows you to choose the format that feels most comfortable and accessible for you.
Finding the right counsellor is a personal decision. If you are considering counselling and would like to explore whether my approach might suit you, please feel free to get in touch. Taking the first step can feel daunting, but it can also be the beginning of positive change.

Counselling with Carey Webb
My primary approach is Person-Centred counselling, which places the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work. This approach supports clients to develop greater self-awareness, self-acceptance and confidence, enabling meaningful and lasting change.
Alongside person-centred therapy, I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, which I can integrate when appropriate. This allows us to work more practically at times, for example by exploring unhelpful thought patterns, developing coping strategies, or focusing on goals and future change.
The way we work together is guided by your needs, preferences and circumstances, and we can review this as therapy progresses.
