About me and my therapy practice
I am a warm, compassionate, Â鶹Դ´-registered humanistic counsellor (MA). I offer a trauma-informed, person-centred approach with humanistic principles. I have expertise in supporting clients through relationship issues, baby loss and bereavement.
I am also a Senior Professional Member of ACTO (the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online). I specialise in high-quality, video-based therapy, making support convenient, flexible, and accessible, wherever you are.
Feeling overwhelmed or lost? Taking that first step towards support can be hard, but you don't have to navigate difficult times alone.
Life can present us with difficulties, uncertainties, and challenges that may leave us feeling distressed, overwhelmed, confused, or isolated.
As a qualified therapist, I want to reassure you that while these feelings are challenging, they are a natural part of the human experience. You haven't failed or done anything wrong; often, these are normal reactions to difficult circumstances, and what you need is to be heard and supported.
Whatever has brought you to consider therapy, be it a loss, challenging emotions, or internal conflicts, I offer a safe, calm, and non-judgmental space. This space is designed to help you feel truly heard and supported to explore your experiences and discover a way forward that brings you a greater sense of inner peace.
Practice description
As a humanistic therapist, I integrate various therapeutic skills and techniques, which allows me the flexibility to create an approach that is specifically tailored to you. I believe that everyone is unique, shaped by a personal set of life experiences and our individual way of being in the world. Consequently, my therapeutic approach will reflect this, and I will work in a manner that is attuned to your specific needs.
I aim to work with you compassionately and collaboratively, moving at your pace and to a depth that feels both comfortable and safe for you.
Central to my practice is the conviction that we all possess the capacity to find our own answers. My role is to facilitate your journey in discovering your own truth and meaning. Through this process, I believe you hold the potential to create positive and authentic change in your life.
I hope our therapeutic relationship will empower you to embark on a journey of self-discovery, enhancing your confidence, self-belief, and the choices you make for your future.
I welcome clients aged 16 and over from all backgrounds and look forward to getting to know you as the unique individual you are.
My first session
I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting. For this reason, I offer a free initial 15-minute telephone call to discuss any concerns you may have. This also provides an opportunity for me to understand what you are hoping to achieve through therapy and for us to explore how we may work together.
Most importantly, it allows you to see how comfortable you feel talking with me. I believe feeling at ease with your therapist is fundamental to achieving the most benefit from our work together.
