About me and my therapy practice

When you come to counselling, you’re bringing your own unique story, experiences, and needs. That’s why I work in an integrative way – meaning I draw on different therapeutic approaches and tailor them to you, rather than using a one-size-fits-all method.
Our sessions will be your space: somewhere safe and supportive, where you can explore what’s happening for you without fear of judgment.
My way of working includes:
Listening with care and compassion so you feel truly heard.
Bringing flexibility – I may use tools from approaches like person-centred therapy, CBT, or mindfulness, depending on what feels right for you.
Focusing on our relationship – research shows that the connection between counsellor and client is key to healing, so I place great importance on building trust together.
Looking at the whole picture – your past experiences, your present challenges, and your hopes for the future.
Working alongside you – you set the pace, and together we’ll find the best way forward.
Every person’s journey is different, so therapy with me is always tailored to you. Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or simply a safe place to talk, I’ll walk alongside you as we explore it together!

Practice description

As a counsellor, I provide a warm. Safe, and confidential space where you can explore whatever is on your mind. Life can feel overwhelming at times, and counselling offers the chance to pause, reflect, and find new ways of coping.

I work integratively, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches and adapt them to suit you as the individual. You wouldn't be fitted into "one-size-fits-all" model - instead, we'll work together in a way that feels right for you.

Clients who come to me can expect:

A supportive non-judgemental space to talk openly.

Compassionate listening and gentle guidance.

Space to explore past experiences, current challenges, or future goals.

Practical strategies when helpful, alongside deeper reflection and self-understanding.

A collaborative process- you set the pace, and we work together.

My aim is to help you feel understood, supported, and empowered to make the changes you want in your life.

My first session

Starting counselling can feel like a big step, so I aim to make your first session as relaxed and supportive as possible.

In our first meeting we will:

Get to know each other - I'll invite you to share what's brought you to counselling and what you hope to gain from it.

Talk about how I work - I'll explain my approach, answer any questions, and check that couselling feels the right fit for you.

Explore your needs - Together we'll look at what's happening in your life right now, and what feels most important to focus on.

Agree how we will work together - we'll discuss practical details such as session times, confidentiality, and whether you would like short-term or long-term support.

You don't need to prepare anything before coming - just bring yourself. Many people feel nervous at first, but my role is to offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly at your own pace.

The first session is the beginning of the process. You may leave with a sense of relief at having shared your story, or you may simply start to notice how it feels to talk in this way. Either way, we'll move at a pace that feels right for you.
