About me and my therapy practice

I am an Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor, passionate about offering you the opportunity to have space and time for your own thoughts and feelings. I offer a non-judgemental and confidential space where we can work together in a way that supports your needs.

I am trained to work in a way that places great importance on the relationship, while using person centred and psychodynamic theories to help you work through different processes.

I have experience working with a wide range of issues, including bereavement, depression, family and relationship breakdowns, anxiety, stress, trauma, loneliness, anger and self-esteem, working with people of different ages, neuro-diversities, cultures and backgrounds. A relationship built within therapy can allow us to explore our thoughts and feelings, paying attention to those that may feel conflicting or particularly difficult, supporting us to process, work through or accept what we’re feeling.

In my previous career, I was a Specialist Teacher, working with young people with learning disabilities and their families, supporting people in ways that suited their own individual needs. I have an understanding that life can be hard at times, within counselling, you can have the opportunity to engage in a trusting relationship which can allow you to feel understood and heard. You are the expert of your own life but often space and time is needed to support us in making sense of our thoughts and feelings.
