About me and my therapy practice
Hi, and welcome. I’m an Integrative Psychotherapist, offering a thoughtful and flexible approach to therapy shaped around you as an individual. Rather than working from a single model, I draw on a range of therapeutic theories and practices, integrating them in a way that is collaborative, responsive, and grounded in the therapeutic relationship.
I work with clients across Leicestershire and Rutland, supporting people with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Life can feel overwhelming and exhausting, particularly if you’ve spent a long time holding things together on your own. Therapy can offer a space to slow down, feel supported, and begin to make sense of what you’re carrying.
My aim is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your patterns, and your inner world, while also working through present-day challenges. Together, we can explore ways of coping with change that feel more sustainable, compassionate, and aligned with who you are.
As an integrative practitioner, I pay close attention to the therapeutic relationship and to how past experiences may be shaping the present. I work at a pace that feels safe and manageable, particularly when therapy involves trauma or long-standing relational difficulties.
Qualifications
Level 2 Award in Counselling Concepts
BSc (Hons) Humanistic & Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy
I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly attend additional training, including work around suicide, dream work, safeguarding, Gestalt therapy, Neurodivergence 101, Working with AuDHD, Working with ADHD and Body Psychotherapy.
Alongside my clinical practice, I am working towards the publication of a book. My specialist areas include neurodivergence and trauma. I aim to offer a therapeutic space that is respectful, thoughtful, and non-judgemental - where difference is understood rather than pathologised, and where you don’t need to have everything worked out before you begin.
Practice description
I am an open, genuine, and down-to-earth psychotherapist, with a strong commitment to supporting people to live more fulfilled, authentic, and meaningful lives. I aim to offer therapy in a way that feels human, thoughtful, and grounded, where you can speak openly and be met with care and respect.

I offer both face-to-face and online therapy. In-person sessions take place at The Rutland Therapy Centre. Please note that the therapy rooms are located on the top floor of the building and, unfortunately, there is no lift access. For this reason, I am not currently able to offer face-to-face appointments to clients who are unable to use stairs. Online sessions are available as an alternative.
There is ample pay-and-display parking available in the car park at the rear of the building.
My first session
It’s very common to feel anxious or apprehensive before your first therapy session. You’re very welcome to let me know how you’re feeling, and I will do what I can to help you feel reassured and at ease.
I understand that the fear of the unknown can feel confusing and overwhelming, so I aim to demystify the process of therapy as much as possible. I’m happy to explain things in as much or as little detail as you need, and I encourage questions at any point — there is no such thing as a silly question. It’s important to me that you feel informed, supported, and able to make choices that feel right for you.
Your first session will last 50 minutes and is called a pre-therapy assessment. During this session I’ll ask about what has brought you to therapy, any relevant mental health history, and whether you’ve had therapy before. I will take a detailed history including any information that you feel will be relevant and we’ll begin to build a picture of your experiences, focusing on what feels most important for you to share at this stage.
While having information can be helpful, I also understand that some topics may feel difficult, painful, or triggering. You are always in control of what you choose to share, and I will respect any boundaries you need to put in place. Building trust can take time, and there is no expectation to talk in detail about everything straight away.
This first session is also an opportunity for us to decide together whether we feel like a good fit for one another, and to think about what type of therapy might best support you going forward.
