About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name is Simon
If you are finding it hard to cope and you are seeking help, then I am here to support you.
I am a Â鶹Դ´ qualified counsellor and my modality is integrative and I use various therapeutic methods and approaches which I tailor to the individuals needs to support you in helping you work through your issue. This can include Psychodynamic ways of working, as well as the Person-Centered approach.
My counselling sessions help clients to feel that they can cope better and I also provide strategies to help clients manage their issues and feel like they have more control of their day to day existence. Through my clear understanding of your issues and how they have impacted your life both in the past and present you will realise that I truly connect with what you have experienced and that I am there to help you improve your circumstances .This is achieved by building a therapeutic relationship based on empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard and is the foundation of how I work with my clients. Your wellbeing is my priority and I offer a safe space in which you can express yourself at a pace and in a way that is comfortable for you.
I work with individuals on a one-to-one basis, both short and long term depending on your needs. After our initial consultation, the standard procedure is to meet once a week at a time that suits you. Each session lasts 50 minutes and appointments are available weekdays and weekends. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message and I will reply as soon as possible.
I am also a registered member of the Â鶹Դ´ (The British Association for Counselling and Psychology).
Practice description
I provide a person-centred and psychodynamic approach to counselling, prioritising and providing you with the support and consideration you need to ensure you get the maximum benefit from our sessions together. This is provided at a pace that suits you while also offering a therapeutic aspect that most people have never experienced in their lives, but can be very beneficial in helping you feel better about the issues you have been living with. I am here to help you, and I care about your well-being.
My first session
The first session will be about getting to know why you have decided to attend counselling and what you would like to talk about. You may have an idea of what you would like to achieve from our sessions together, or you might be unsure. Either way, I will explain what I can provide and answer any questions you might have. There is no pressure, and whatever you choose to talk about in our sessions will remain confidential.
