About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative therapist and trainee clinical supervisor with experience working with children, young people and adults.
I provide a non-judgemental, empathic, safe space for clients, with sensitivity to difference and diversity.
Practice description
As an integrative therapist, I provide flexibility to meet an individual’s unique needs. I incorporate psychodynamic, person-centred, body/somatic, systemic and solution focused approaches. I offer open ended sessions to facilitate the process of therapeutic engagement, including facilitating the use of creativity to explore feelings and experiences.
I have over twenty years’ experience working with children, young people and adults as a social worker and therapist. This has been in a diverse range of settings, including at home, in the community, residential and in schools. I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma and grief. I have a particular interest in supporting parents and carers.
In my work with children and young people I provide play and art interventions adapted to their needs and stage of development. I use strengths-based approaches, and have experience supporting children who are neurodiverse and facilitating non-verbal communication.
