About me and my therapy practice

Are you struggling with a constant feeling there's something wrong, even when things seem to be going well?

Are you overwhelmed, insecure and struggling to trust yourself?

Are you self aware and still feeling stuck, despite understanding most of your issues?

Are you moving through cycles of feeling exhausted, then feeling ok, then doing 'too much' until you're overwhelmed again and the cycle repeats?

Many of the people I work with come to therapy carrying long-standing patterns of shame, depression, ADHD, people-pleasing or perfectionism. Some are recovering from difficult relationships, including narcissistic or emotionally neglectful dynamics, while others are navigating the challenges of parenting, neurodivergence, or major life transitions. Some have no idea what's wrong and that's also ok.

I’m Erika Zazzu, a Â鶹ԭ´´-registered psychotherapist/coach offering a genuine space to explore what's keeping you hyper-vigilant and exhausted. I’ve had over a decade of experience as a therapist as well as therapy myself (ongoing) and know how vital the relationship is: the right connection makes change possible. I bring warmth, curiosity and challenge but I’m humanely flawed too. I understand how invalidation and insecurity can shape a life. That lived experience helps me be genuinely empathic and open in a way that comes through in my care and approach as a human being.

Practice description

My approach is person-centred and trauma-informed, drawing on somatic awareness (the connection between body and mind) to help you find safety, resilience and new ways of being. I deeply believe in the mind-body connection and in therapy as a lived, felt process, not just a list of symptoms. The body was the missing piece within my journey as I thought it was some 'woo woo' concept. Now I understand and have lived this healing myself, I passionately want to facilitate in others, where I know this Is the key to lasting change and liking yourself and your life.

We notice how your body stores experience, build nervous-system regulation skills, and gently challenge patterns that no longer serve you. Together, we’ll look at how your past experiences may still echo in your body and mind in the here and now, look at how you show up in relationship to yourself and others. Explore where you're being pulled away from presence and into distraction and self sabotage. Through this we will strengthen self-worth, find genuine safety within and create space for healthier relationships.

If you’d like to find out more, I offer a short introductory call so you can ask questions and get a feel for how we might work together.
