About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced, fully qualified trauma-informed integrative counsellor with experience working with adults, children, and young people. I have specific experience and additional training in working with clients who have experienced trauma, domestic abuse, as well as bereavement and loss. I work with a broad range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, addiction, PTSD, C-PTSD, and OCD & ADHD.

I offer a compassionate and confidential space in which to support you in finding your own way forward in coping with any challenges or difficulties you may be experiencing. Experiencing trauma can affect everyone differently. You might feel scared, anxious, angry, disappointed, ashamed, all-consuming loneliness, or all of these and more. Your story is unique to you, and we work at your pace, not mine.

Trauma Therapy

Our work together will enable you to develop ways of gaining greater control of troubling symptoms such as nightmares & flashbacks, intrusive images of past events and people etc. This was of working does not rely on you having to re-live or talk about the most difficult times in your life. As trauma is stored in the body, the work will concentrate on the nervous system so that you are in greater control of your thoughts, feelings and over the symptoms you may have been experiencing. We may also look at attachment to your family of birth, how that impacts your life and shapes your current relationships.

Practice description

In addition to working in private practice, I also work as a counsellor and suicide liaison worker for a Â鶹ԭ´´-registered charity offering support for anyone affected by suicide, bereavement and domestic abuse. I have previously volunteered for an Oxfordshire school working with children and young people experiencing mental health issues such as anxiety, OCD depression, and eating disorders.

I have previously worked with adults for a Wiltshire charity working with a broad range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and trauma, both long and short-term.

My experience working with clients in these settings has been diverse and rich, which has given me a thorough understanding of human nature and people's ability to change.

I am fully insured, have an enhanced DBS check and am a registered member of the Â鶹ԭ´´ number 00970267
