Availability
I see clients on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, both during the day and in the evening. I also offer early morning sessions available from 8am to accommodate busy work schedules. My last session starts at 7pm. I offer concessionary rates to counselling students so please get in touch if this applies to you.
About me and my therapy practice
As a humanistic counsellor, in the Crawley and Horsham area, I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences, emotions, beliefs, and choices. I believe that each person has the capacity for growth and change when given the right environment — one that feels safe, respectful, and accepting.
My role is not to give you answers, but to walk alongside you as you begin to understand yourself more deeply. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on for you — whether that’s feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or simply unsure of who you are or where you’re heading. I’ll support you in gently untangling your thoughts and emotions, helping you make sense of your experiences in a way that feels manageable and empowering.
We may look at how past experiences and learnt behaviours have shaped how you see yourself and how you relate to others. We might explore your values, your sense of identity, or the patterns that keep showing up in your life. Through this process, you can begin to develop new perspectives and make choices that feel more aligned with who you are now — not who you were expected to be.
I work in a client-led way, which means I won’t direct the session or set the agenda — you will. I’ll meet you where you are, and we’ll go at your pace. Whether you’re coming to counselling for a specific issue or simply feel ready to explore yourself more deeply, I’ll offer a space where you can be heard, understood, and supported.
Practice description
Once you make contact, I will arrange an initial assessment to explore what you’re hoping to gain from counselling and to determine whether we feel comfortable working together. This first step is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to ask any questions you may have about the counselling process. If we decide to proceed, we’ll agree on a regular day and time to meet.
I currently offer both weekly and fortnightly sessions to help make counselling more accessible and flexible, depending on your needs and availability. Sessions last for 50 minutes and are held either online or in person. I work with clients remotely via secure video platforms, and I also offer face-to-face sessions in a quiet, welcoming space near Horsham town centre.
Fees are paid on a ‘pay-as-you-go’ basis, allowing you to manage your commitment without upfront costs. I offer a reduced rate for students who are currently training to become counsellors, as I understand the importance of accessible support during this formative stage.
I ask that clients give two weeks’ notice if they decide to end counselling, as this allows us time to reflect on the work we’ve done together and bring the process to a thoughtful close.
My aim is to make counselling approachable and supportive, offering you a space where you can feel safe, heard, and respected.
My first session
In our first session, we’ll explore what’s brought you to counselling and what you hope to gain from it.
Before we meet, I’ll send you a short assessment form to help me understand a little more about you and your reasons for seeking support. This will guide our initial conversation and ensure we begin in a way that feels focused and respectful of your needs.
You’re welcome to ask questions at any point and to share only what feels comfortable — there’s no pressure to disclose more than you’re ready to.
If you decide not to continue with counselling after our first meeting, I will securely delete your information in accordance with data protection legislation.
My standard rate of £70 per session applies.
