About me and my therapy practice
I’m Suzanna Storey, a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor offering a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and feel truly heard. I work with adults from all walks of life and have a particular interest in supporting people through anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, life transitions, racial or religious trauma and challenges affecting identity or self-worth.
My approach is integrative, which means I draw from different therapeutic models including psychodynamic, person-centred and solution-focused, tailoring each session to your individual needs. Together, we will explore the patterns, experiences and beliefs that may be holding you back, helping you to understand yourself more deeply and find new ways forward.
Therapy with me is collaborative. We work at your pace, in your way. Some clients come to unpick the roots of long-standing struggles while others want short-term, focused support around a specific issue. Whether we work together for weeks or months, my aim is to help you feel lighter, clearer and more in touch with yourself.
I offer a warm and compassionate presence but I am also here to gently challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and encourage growth. Many clients say they value my ability to balance empathy with practical insight, supporting not just emotional healing but real-life change.

Practice description
My practice offers a calm and confidential space where you can explore whatever is on your mind without fear of judgement. Life can be overwhelming at times and it is not always easy to speak openly to friends or family. Therapy provides a unique opportunity to share your thoughts and feelings with someone who will listen fully, understand your perspective and support you in making sense of your experiences.
I work with adults on a wide range of issues including anxiety, stress, low mood, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, loss, identity concerns and the impact of trauma. I have a special interest in supporting people through racial and religious trauma and those navigating complex life changes.
As an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to suit your needs. This may involve exploring past experiences that have shaped you, focusing on present-day challenges or developing strategies to help you cope more effectively. Sessions move at your pace and are guided by what feels most helpful for you.
You can expect me to be warm, compassionate and committed to your wellbeing. I will listen carefully, reflect back what I hear and gently offer insights or challenges where they might help you see things differently. My aim is for you to leave each session feeling understood, supported and more able to make the changes you want in your life.
I offer sessions online and in person. We can work together short-term on a specific issue or longer-term for deeper exploration and personal growth. I offer a free initial consultation so we can discuss what brings you to therapy and see if working together feels like the right fit for you.
