Additionally, I offer evening therapy sessions to ensure that you have the convenience and flexibility to prioritise your well-being while managing your daily commitments. About me and my therapy practice
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹Դ´) and currently in the process of accreditation. My practice is grounded in ethical, professional standards, and I am committed to maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality, integrity, and ongoing professional development.
I work integratively, combining a person-centred foundation with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This means I offer a warm, empathic, and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to explore your experiences at your own pace, while also drawing on structured CBT tools to help you understand and shift unhelpful thought and behaviour patterns.
At the heart of my work is the belief that you have an innate capacity for growth and change. I aim to build a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, authenticity, and respect. Within this supportive environment, we can explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges, deepen self-awareness, and develop practical strategies to navigate difficulties more effectively.
By integrating reflective exploration with evidence-based techniques, I support you in strengthening resilience, building self-esteem, and making meaningful, lasting changes. My role is to walk alongside you, offering compassion, insight, and guidance, so you can move towards greater self-acceptance, emotional wellbeing, and a clearer sense of direction in your life.
Practice description
As a client, you can expect a professional, compassionate, and collaborative therapeutic experience grounded in person-centred values and informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹Դ´), I adhere to established ethical frameworks and maintain clear professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ongoing reflective practice.
My approach is integrative. The foundation of my work is person-centred therapy, offering a consistent environment of empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. You will be met with respect and without judgement, enabling you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences safely and at your own pace.
Alongside this relational foundation, I integrate CBT to provide structure and practical tools where helpful. This may involve identifying unhelpful thought patterns, understanding behavioural responses, and developing effective coping strategies. The integration of CBT allows us not only to explore the origins and impact of difficulties such as trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, bereavement, and stress, but also to work actively towards meaningful and sustainable change.
You can expect a balanced approach: space for reflection and emotional processing, combined with evidence-based techniques to support resilience and psychological wellbeing. My role is to provide a safe, containing environment while supporting you to strengthen insight, build coping skills, and move towards improved emotional health and personal empowerment.
My first session
Your first therapy session will be 50 minutes long and is offered at a special introductory rate of £20. This reduced fee allows you to experience our therapeutic approach and get to know me as your Person-Centered Counselling Therapist.
Your first therapy session with me will be a warm and welcoming experience. It will be an opportunity for you to get to know me and my therapeutic approach while also ensuring that you feel comfortable.
We'll begin with a warm introduction, and I'll take some time to get to know you better. This is your opportunity to share your goals, concerns, and any specific reasons for seeking therapy.
We will discuss and complete any necessary assessments and paperwork, ensuring that you have a clear understanding of the therapeutic process, confidentiality, and your rights as a client.
I'll provide an overview of what you can expect in future therapy sessions and address any questions or concerns you may have.
