About me and my therapy practice
I am a Gestalt psychotherapist and supervisor with an MA in Gestalt Therapy, accredited by the UKCP, the NCPS and registered by the Â鶹Դ´.
I offer people a safe, supportive space to explore difficult feelings and to recognise and deal with the hidden patterns in personal relationships.
I offer individual psychotherapy, couples and relationship therapy and group work. I can provide both long-term open-ended psychotherapy and brief focused counselling (generally up to 12 sessions).
I have facilitated groups, delivered trauma training and supported employees as a staff counsellor for the Metropolitan Police Service. I also worked in Chase Farm Hospital Enfield (Forensic Psychiatry), where I provided therapy for the patients. In these roles, I have helped clients with different types of traumas and PTSD.
Before training to become a psychotherapist, I worked as a lawyer in litigation, arbitration, tax and employment departments for 16 years. I have found my experience of working in high pressure environments with high demands and expectations very useful in my work with clients who are experiencing work-related stress, anxiety, anger, despair, fear and guilt.
Practice description
The therapeutic relationship is a very special and very intimate one, based on trust and safety. That’s why it’s so important to find the right therapist. Working with you I will establish a non-judgemental environment and free space in which you can be yourself and work on the challenges you face.
In my therapeutic work I aim to help people to reach a deeper understanding of any experiences and difficulties that they find distressing or inhibiting. I have experience working with clients with depression, anxiety, sexual difficulties, trauma treatments and PTSD.
