About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome. I'm Rowan, a qualified and professional integrative therapist offering sessions in Camden and Archway therapy rooms, as well as walk & talk outdoors.

I can help if you're feeling anxious or depressed, struggling with difficult thoughts and emotions, perhaps stressed by work, family or relationships, maybe affected by present circumstances or by past experiences.

Clients often come to me looking for support through a difficult period in their lives, managing emotional upheaval, or exploring memories and relationships to gain the clarity and confidence they need to move forward.

Working with me, you'll find warmth and understanding, gaining insights and new perspectives through compassionate challenge. I'll support you in navigating changes and choosing new paths, helping you to learn more about yourself and to find more self-confidence and fulfilment in your life.

I offer weekly sessions in comfortable therapy rooms in Camden and in Archway. I also hold walk and talk or nature therapy sessions in central/north London parks. Please see my website (link above) for further details about outdoor sessions.

I understand it can be difficult to look for support and choose the right therapist, so I offer a free, 15-minute, introductory phone call for you to ask me any questions. Please use the links on this page to contact me and I'll get back to you to arrange a time that suits you.

Practice description

I’ve worked in the charity sector, as well as in private practice, with people experiencing a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, family issues, relationship difficulties, abuse, distressing childhood experiences and loss.

I'm experienced in supporting parents through the perinatal and postnatal periods. I've worked as a parent mentor and as a counsellor for Home Start, the national charity for families experiencing difficulties. My approach is gentle and flexible, understanding the emotional and practical challenges parenthood can bring.

I'm a qualified ecotherapist, passionate about nature and the environment, and I hold walk and talk sessions outdoors. These can benefit clients experiencing anxiety or depression, or those with ADHD who find movement can help focus, as well as anyone wanting a breath of fresh air to find clarity. I also provide support for people who are concerned about the environment and climate change, including activists and people working in the field. Please see my website (linked above) or contact me for further information.

My first session

In our first session, I'll be interested to hear more about what brings you here and what you'd like to explore, heal or change. We'll also look at a contract together and agree how we'll work.

If you decide to try therapy outdoors, I'll suggest we hold our first session indoors, in order to discuss practicalities and look at a contract before we meet outside. I welcome clients who'd like to try a combination of indoor and outdoor therapy and can accommodate this where possible. Just let me know what suits you and we'll look at possibilities together.
