I offer sessions throughout the week, with flexibility around appointment times so we can find something that fits comfortably. My aim is to make the process as manageable as possible, and we can work together to find times that feel realistic and supportive for you.
About me and my therapy practice
You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted from carrying things on your own. Perhaps anxiety, past experiences, or self-doubt are affecting your daily life or sense of self. Whatever has brought you here, you don鈥檛 have to face it alone.
Hello, I鈥檓 Katie Haynes, a fully qualified psychotherapist and registered member of the 麻豆原创 (M麻豆原创). I offer a calm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and feel genuinely heard and supported.
I work in a person-centred and integrative way, meaning therapy is shaped around you. I believe change happens when you feel safe enough to explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. My role is to help you understand yourself more deeply, process experiences, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
I have experience working in schools, charities, and crisis settings, supporting individuals with:
Anxiety and persistent worry
Depression and low mood
Trauma and abuse
Low self-esteem and self-confidence
Bereavement and loss
Identity and life transitions
Eating disorders and body image difficulties
Gender identity and LGBTQ+ experiences
Emotional distress and self-harm
I am passionate about supporting people who have felt unheard or struggled silently. Therapy can be a space where you reconnect with yourself and develop a more compassionate relationship with who you are.
I aim to build a therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and authenticity, where you feel safe to explore whatever you need to.
Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and I am here to support you.
Practice description
Deciding to reach out for support can be one of the hardest steps, and finding a therapist who genuinely feels like the right fit can feel overwhelming. To make that first step a little easier, I offer a free 10鈥憁inute phone conversation. It鈥檚 a space for you to share what鈥檚 going on for you, ask any questions, and get a sense of how I work. From there, you can decide鈥攅ither straight away or after some reflection鈥攚hether working together feels right for you.
Our first full session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other more deeply. We鈥檒l explore what brings you to therapy, what you鈥檙e hoping for, and what you might need from the process. My aim is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported from the very beginning.
My first session
Once we decide to move forward with therapy, we鈥檒l arrange weekly 50鈥憁inute sessions at a time that works well for both of us. These sessions are your space, and you鈥檙e welcome to bring whatever feels important or pressing. There鈥檚 no 鈥渞ight鈥 way to show up; what matters is that you come as you are, with your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
In our work together, we鈥檒l explore whatever is troubling you at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Over time, this process can help you develop a clearer understanding of yourself, your patterns, and what you need in order to move forward.
