About me and my therapy practice

I am a trauma-informed, transpersonal arts counsellor with lived experience in the areas of sexual abuse and trauma. My practice is grounded in a client-centred approach, with a strong emphasis on creating a safe, ethical, and supportive therapeutic environment where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace.

I have trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including embodiment practices, spiritual counselling, chi gung, and mindfulness, which I integrate according to each client’s individual needs. I am currently undertaking further training in Anthroposophical Psychotherapy to continue developing and strengthening my clinical practice.

I offer both online and in-person counselling. Alongside my private practice, I work part-time at The Green House in Bristol, a specialist service supporting children and young people affected by sexual violence. I also work independently with adult survivors.

Practice description

I offer a warm, friendly, and down-to-earth therapeutic space that is non-judgemental and respectful of each client’s individual process. My aim is to help you feel safe, supported, and able to engage in therapy in a way that feels right for you.

In face-to-face sessions, the therapy room offers a range of creative materials such as paints, colours, clay, and toys, which can be used if helpful. For online sessions, you may wish to have some art materials available, although this is always optional.

My work may include embodiment practices, such as gentle movement, gesture, or sensory-based exploration, as well as transpersonal approaches that allow space for experiences that can be difficult to put into words. At times, this may involve working with silence or stillness, which can be deeply supportive and healing. Equally, if you prefer to focus on talking, this is always welcomed and respected.

All sessions are 60 minutes in length.

My first session

Our first session is an opportunity for us to meet in a calm and supportive way and to begin getting to know one another. We will complete an initial assessment together and explore whether working together feels like the right fit for you, at a pace that feels comfortable.

There will be plenty of space for you to ask any questions, and we can gently go through practical details such as fees, holidays, cancellations, and what to do if either of us is unwell. This helps to create a clear and safe framework, so you can feel supported from the very beginning.
