For adults feeling anxious, burnt out or misunderstood 鈥 neuro-affirming therapy for trauma and low self-esteem
About me and my therapy practice
Do you feel like you鈥檙e always battling anxiety, replaying old trauma or stuck under a heavy weight of low self-esteem? Maybe you鈥檝e just had enough of feeling unseen, like your brain is mis-wired in a world designed for 鈥渘eurotypical鈥 and you鈥檙e craving someone who gets that.
I work with adults who are neurodivergent (or exploring that possibility) and also dealing with the ripple effects of trauma, anxiety and chronic self-criticism. As neurodivergent myself, I bring lived experience to the work.
I bring a down-to-earth, compassionate presence, no judgement, no rush, we go at your pace. Together we鈥檒l build a space where you can begin to rewrite unhelpful beliefs, regulate your emotions and step into a life that feels more authentic and manageable.
I practice online (UK-wide) and face-to-face in Gloucester (GL1/GL2). My approach is integrative combining psychodynamic and person-centred work, tailored entirely to you and your wiring. I offer a free 15-minute call to see if we鈥檙e a fit.
Specialisms
Trauma recovery and post-traumatic stress
Anxiety, panic and overwhelm
Low self-esteem and self-worth
Neurodivergent support (ADHD, Autism, AuDHD or exploring diagnosis)
Relationship and attachment difficulties
Burnout and emotional exhaustion
Practice description
I offer trauma-informed, neuro-affirming therapy for adults navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship struggles and the after-effects of difficult experiences. My approach centres on seeing you as a whole human, your past, your patterns, your wiring and what makes you you. I鈥檓 warm, collaborative honest and grounded and I鈥檒l hold hope for you even when it feels out of reach.
I draw from person-centred and psychodynamic approaches, with parts work and motivational interviewing woven in to help when different sides of you feel at odds or stuck. We can explore how early experiences shape the present, while also making sense of how your nervous system and brain are responding now. Everything we do goes at your pace and respects your boundaries.
As a neurodivergent therapist, I understand sensory overwhelm, executive-function challenges and the exhaustion of masking. Many of my clients are ADHD, Autistic or AuDHD but this way of working benefits anyone who wants to understand themselves more deeply and live in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.
My first session
Finding the right counsellor really matters. The therapeutic relationship is built on trust, honesty and a sense that you鈥檙e understood. When that connection feels right, it can become the foundation for real change and growth.
I offer a free 15-minute call so you can get a feel for how I work and ask any questions before deciding if it feels like a good fit. Reaching out can be nerve-wracking, so we鈥檒l take it gently, there鈥檚 no pressure or expectation, just a space to meet and talk things through.
I work both online and face to face at 2 & 6 Therapy Rooms, Wainbridge House, Shepherd Road, Gloucester GL2 5EL. In our first full session, we鈥檒l start getting to know each other by exploring what鈥檚 been happening for you, what鈥檚 brought you here, and what you鈥檇 like to change. You don鈥檛 have to have the perfect words or clear goals, we can figure that out together. My aim is to help you feel at ease, heard and supported from the very beginning.
