In-person sessions are available in North West London.
I offer appointments on weekdays — including mornings, afternoons, and evenings — and on Sundays. I aim to accommodate a range of schedules and am happy to discuss what might work for you.
About me and my therapy practice
I'm Marcelle — a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #129593) in California and a Registered Psychological Therapist with the Â鶹Դ´. I offer online and in person therapy for adults navigating anxiety, trauma, codependency, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I'm also a fellow American living in London, and I work with American expats across the UK and Europe who are navigating the particular challenges of life abroad.
My approach is warm, body-aware, and goes deeper than coping strategies alone. I work with the nervous system as well as the mind — exploring what your body is holding, what patterns have formed over time, and what's been driving things beneath the surface. I use EMDR, somatic therapy, IFS (parts work), and psychodynamic depth, always tailored to the individual and at your pace.
Many of my clients are high-functioning women who appear capable and reliable on the outside and are quietly carrying anxiety, exhaustion, or the weight of old patterns underneath. They often come having already tried therapy. What they're looking for is something that reaches the root.
I completed a PGCert in Systemic Family Therapy at King's College London, hold an MA in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, and am licensed as an LMFT in California and Florida.
Practice description
I offer online and in person therapy for adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, people-pleasing, codependency, and life transitions — including American expats in the UK and Europe navigating loneliness, identity shifts, and the relational strain of living abroad.
My practice is trauma-informed and body-based. I integrate EMDR (for trauma and stuck patterns), somatic therapy (body awareness and nervous system regulation), IFS (understanding conflicting inner parts), and psychodynamic depth (connecting past experience to present patterns).
Clients who work well with me are often professionally active women — in healthcare, law, tech, design, journalism, non-profit work — who are functioning well externally and struggling internally. They understand their patterns; what they're looking for is felt, lasting change.

My first session
I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation via Zoom before we begin. This is a relaxed conversation — a chance for you to share what's bringing you to therapy, ask any questions about how I work, and get a sense of whether we might be a good fit. There is no obligation to proceed.
If we decide to work together, the first full session is an opportunity to go a little deeper. We will explore your background, what has brought you to this point, and what you are hoping for from therapy. I will ask about relevant history — relationships, family patterns, any previous therapy — so I can begin to understand the fuller picture. We will also discuss how you prefer to work and agree on an initial focus or goals.
Before our first session, I ask clients to complete a short intake questionnaire along with three brief standardised assessments: the GAD-7 (anxiety), PHQ-9 (depression), and ACE questionnaire (adverse childhood experiences). These help me understand your situation more fully before we meet, and give us a useful baseline to refer back to as our work progresses.
Sessions are 50 minutes. I offer online therapy via Zoom — secure, confidential, and accessible from anywhere in the UK or Europe — as well as in-person sessions in North West London. I am available on weekdays and Sundays (mornings, afternoons, and evenings).
