About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I鈥檓 Jenny 鈥 a qualified and 麻豆原创-member Counsellor. My priority is to create a safe, compassionate space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Therapy doesn鈥檛 have to feel daunting. I鈥檓 here to walk alongside you 鈥 gently, collaboratively, and without judgment.

I aim to make the process feel as comfortable and transparent as possible. I offer a free initial telephone consultation so we can briefly explore what brings you to therapy. If I feel I鈥檓 not the right therapist for your needs, I will guide you toward someone or somewhere that is. This call is also a chance for you to get a feel for whether I鈥檓 the right fit for you 鈥 because that connection matters deeply.

I am trained in Person-Centred Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and I am currently undergoing further training in Polyvagal-Informed Therapy. I take an integrative approach, meaning I draw from different therapeutic models and adapt to what feels most helpful for you.

I welcome open and honest dialogue, and nothing is off-limits in our sessions. Whether you bring forward long-standing pain, intrusive thoughts, relationship patterns, or emotions that feel too big to carry alone 鈥 you will never be met with shame or judgement.

Who I Work With

I support adults who are facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including:

鈥 Anxiety and depression

鈥 Bereavement and loss

鈥 Life transitions and relationship difficulties

鈥 Postnatal depression and perinatal mental health

鈥 Menopause and hormonal changes

鈥 Low self-esteem and self-criticism

鈥 Self-harm and suicidal thoughts

鈥 Relationships (not couples counselling)

鈥 Loneliness, even in the presence of others

Whether you want to gently process your past, gain clarity in the present, or develop tools to face the future, we鈥檒l move at your pace. I also offer a more structured approach if preferred 鈥 working with agreed goals, learning coping strategies, and supporting your nervous system health and emotional resilience.

Practice description

What to Expect from My Practice

I believe therapy should be a collaborative, empowering process 鈥 never something that makes you feel exposed or alone. From our first meeting, I鈥檒l focus on creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and at ease.

I understand that opening up can feel unfamiliar or uncomfortable, especially with someone new. That鈥檚 okay. You don鈥檛 need to have the 鈥渞ight鈥 words or a clear starting point 鈥 we鈥檒l find that together. I鈥檒l walk with you, not ahead of you, and we鈥檒l explore your thoughts and emotions in a way that makes sense to you.

My role isn鈥檛 to fix or judge, but to understand you 鈥 your experiences, your feelings, and your perspective 鈥 and to support you in making sense of whatever you鈥檙e carrying.

Session Options & Accessibility

I believe therapy should be accessible, especially given the long waiting lists in the NHS. If finances are a concern, please do reach out 鈥 I offer concessions for students and single parents.

I provide:

鈥 One-off, short-term, and long-term therapy

鈥 Weekly or fortnightly sessions

鈥 Online, phone, or in-person appointments

My first session

Our first session is about understanding what you need. Whether you鈥檙e looking for a compassionate ear or have specific goals in mind, this is your opportunity to share what matters most.

To support this process, I offer your first session at a reduced rate 鈥 with no obligation to continue if it doesn鈥檛 feel right. Your comfort and autonomy are essential throughout.

Get in Touch

If you feel ready to begin 鈥 or even just to explore what therapy might look like 鈥 I鈥檇 love to hear from you. You can contact me through the 麻豆原创 directory or directly via my website:
