About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Julia. I am a fully qualified BA (Hons) Therapeutic Counsellor, dedicated to supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, chronic health conditions, grief, trauma, and work-related stress.
I offer a warm, non-judgmental, and confidential space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. My approach is client-centred and empathetic, always tailored to your unique needs and experiences.
My professional background includes working within the NHS's Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service, where I supported a diverse client base using a solution-focused approach. I’ve also facilitated group work through the charity Action for Happiness, delivering their ‘Happiness Habits’ course in an engaging and supportive online setting.
Practice description
In our sessions, we will work together to understand how past experiences may be impacting your present and identify any barriers to your growth or healing. Whether you're processing grief, struggling with low mood, or seeking a deeper sense of purpose, therapy with me can help you:
• Gain clarity about your thoughts and emotions
• Develop healthier coping strategies
• Reframe unhelpful thinking patterns
• Improve emotional regulation
• Build self-worth and confidence
Our work is collaborative, compassionate, and empowering, with your goals at the heart of the process.
My first session
