About me and my therapy practice

I offer a free, no-obligation 20–30 minute chat so we can meet and see whether counselling feels right for you before you commit to a first session. If you would like to arrange a chat, please click fill in the enquiry form above and I will contact you directly. Please keep an eye on your junk folder, as replies can occasionally end up there.

My special interest is anxiety, particularly the experience of feeling overwhelmed by your thoughts, constantly worrying, overthinking or finding it difficult to switch off. However, my training and experience enable me to work with a wide range of issues, so if you're unsure whether I can help with what you're experiencing, please feel free to get in touch.

I am a Person-Centred counsellor, which means that I believe you are the expert in your own life. My role is not to judge you or tell you what you should do, but to offer you a safe, confidential space where you can speak openly and honestly about whatever is troubling you.

Together, we can explore your experiences, thoughts and feelings at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Sometimes this can help you gain clarity around things that have felt confusing or overwhelming, develop a greater understanding of yourself and discover ways of coping that feel right for you.

I work primarily in a non-directive way, allowing our sessions to follow what feels most important to you. As an integratively trained counsellor, I can also draw on other approaches when appropriate. For example, I may use CBT-based or Mindfulness techniques when working with anxiety or unhelpful patterns of thinking.

I am a qualified MÂ鶹ԭ´´ registered counsellor providing online counselling. I offer both short- and long-term therapy, depending on your needs.

Practice description

Starting counselling can feel daunting, particularly if you have never spoken to a counsellor before. You don't need to know exactly what you want to talk about, we can start wherever you are.

I will offer you a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind. You will not be judged, pressured or told what you should do. Instead, I will listen carefully and work alongside you to understand what you're experiencing.

Our sessions will be guided by you and what feels important at the time. There may be times when talking things through helps you make sense of your thoughts and feelings, and other times when we might explore patterns, coping strategies or different ways of looking at things.

I believe that counselling is a collaborative process. You don't need to change who you are to fit therapy; my aim is to understand you as an individual and provide a space where you can be your authentic self.

Most importantly, you don't have to wait until things feel unbearable before seeking support. If something is affecting your wellbeing, relationships, work or everyday life, it is enough reason to reach out.
