About me and my therapy practice
I work with adults and young people experiencing anxiety, low self esteem, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties and the impact of distressing or confusing life experiences. Many clients come feeling stuck in patterns they can’t seem to shift, struggling with self doubt, or finding it hard to understand or manage their emotional responses. Others feel disconnected from themselves or those around them, or unsure how to move forward in their lives or relationships.
I offer a calm, steady and supportive space to explore these experiences. My approach is trauma informed and integrative, shaped around your individual needs and what feels safe and manageable for you. Together, we might focus on developing emotional understanding, building self trust, exploring relational patterns, and finding healthier, more grounded ways of relating to yourself and others.
Alongside my private practice, I bring specialist experience working with survivors of sexual violence and childhood abuse within a dedicated trauma service. This work has deepened my understanding of how past experiences can continue to shape emotions, relationships and self perception in the present. I also support clients more broadly with anxiety, self esteem and relational difficulties.
Practice description
Sessions offer a consistent, calm space where you can explore what feels difficult or confusing, without pressure to have everything worked out. Therapy can help you make sense of emotional responses, recognise patterns in relationships or coping strategies, and begin to develop new ways of responding that feel more supportive and sustainable.
I work in a relational and trauma informed way, paying attention to both your emotional experiences and the ways you relate to yourself and others. Our work is guided by what feels appropriate, contained and manageable for you, with the pace shaped around your needs and your sense of safety.
My first session
The first session offers a calm space to begin settling into the work together. Some people use this time to talk through what’s been happening; others prefer to start gently and get a feel for the pace and rhythm of therapy.
There is no pressure to share more than feels comfortable. We move slowly and collaboratively, paying attention to what feels safe, manageable and contained for you as we begin to establish a foundation for the work
