About me and my therapy practice
I truly believe that with the right support and environment, we all have the capacity to reach our full potential and lead happy, fulfilling lives. I understand that asking for help can feel daunting, but I am here to provide a warm, accepting space where you can explore whatever challenges you’re facing at your own pace.
Whether you’re a couple, a parent and child, or even two friends or colleagues navigating relational difficulties, I am here to help. My training and experience equips me with the tools and insight to support you in building stronger, healthier connections.
No matter how overwhelming life might seem, I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey toward clarity, growth, and healing. Let’s work together to create the positive change you’re seeking.
I am an integrative therapist, so I have trained in multiple modalities such as Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Existential, Systemic and Emotion-Focused Therapy. This means, I can dip into all of these modalities and shape the therapy to the individual person in front of me.
Practice description
In a session, I will listen to you and support you with anything that you choose to share with me.
The thought of sharing parts of you with someone can seem scary, however I am here to provide a warm and accepting space that is yours to explore and talk through anything you need support with and to explore what is going on for you.
In the therapy room, I always say that I will probably ask too many questions, but that's for a good reason. Being a chatty person, when I had therapy in the past, I could fill the session and not need the therapist to say a lot, but I would come away thinking 'what was the point, I could have just spoken to a friend'. So, I strive to be the therapist that I haven't yet found. I will challenge when appropriate, get you to think differently about a situation by giving you all angles and perspectives. I will ask questions that provoke your thoughts and I will use my imagination to explain how I see or hear you - I love the use of an analogy.
Resources are great to open up without words - drawing, worksheets, paints, using buttons/shells as depictions of feelings or people. My therapy aim is for you to go away feeling like you are on the path to change.
My first session
I offer a free of charge, no obligation introductory call before any sessions are booked in.
Once a time and date are agreed, the first session is open and will be like any other therapy session, where we begin to explore what is going on for you.
