About me and my therapy practice

I am a 麻豆原创-accredited therapist working with both individuals and couples. I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore what is troubling you, deepen your understanding of yourself and your relationships, and begin creating meaningful, lasting change.

I work integratively, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each individual or couple. My practice combines humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), while also paying close attention to the connection between mind and body. I believe our emotional experiences are not only thought and felt, but are often held physically too.

Whether you are seeking support as an individual or as a couple, therapy provides an opportunity to explore patterns and ways of relating that may be impacting your wellbeing. Together, we look at your personal history, relationship dynamics and emotional experiences to understand how certain patterns may have developed and how they continue to influence your life. By bringing unconscious thoughts, feelings and relational processes into awareness, greater insight, understanding and choice can emerge.

In couples therapy, I help partners explore difficulties with communication, conflict, intimacy, trust, life transitions and recurring patterns of interaction. My aim is to create a balanced and supportive environment where both people feel heard, understood and able to engage in meaningful dialogue.

My role is not to tell you what to do, but to support you in developing insight, resilience and emotional clarity. As individuals and couples become more connected to their inner world and to one another, they are better able to make choices that feel authentic, strengthen relationships and move towards a more fulfilling life.

Practice description

Finding space to reflect on our thoughts and feelings can feel difficult in today鈥檚 fast-paced world. Therapy offers a confidential and supportive environment where you can slow down, explore what鈥檚 going on for you, and begin to make sense of it. I believe therapy can be beneficial for everyone, regardless of how big or small your concerns may seem.

My approach is relationally focused, informed by evidence highlighting the therapeutic relationship as a key factor in effective change. I work with warmth, curiosity and compassion, while also offering gentle challenge when it feels helpful. Above all, this is your therapy. We work collaboratively, with you setting the pace. My aim is to support you in developing a deeper sense of safety, connection, purpose and joy in your life.

In our first session, we鈥檒l talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you would like to change or understand more deeply. Together, we will clarify your goals 鈥 whether that involves managing anxiety, improving relationships, building confidence or working through painful experiences from the past 鈥 and discuss how we might approach this work.

There is no 鈥渞ight鈥 way to do therapy; we move at a pace that feels manageable for you. We will check in regularly to ensure the work feels supportive, relevant and aligned with your needs.

My first session

In our first session, we鈥檒l clarify what you鈥檇 like to focus on in therapy and define what success will look like for you. I鈥檒l explain how the process works, what you can expect, and answer any questions you may have. We鈥檒l also review a brief personal history, including any previous therapy experience, before beginning our work together.

As therapy progresses, we鈥檒l regularly check in to make sure our work feels helpful, aligned with your goals, and responsive to your evolving needs.
