About me and my therapy practice

Behind every diagnosis and every day spent managing a chronic health condition, is a person with feelings, fears, and a story that deserves care. My practice offers a compassionate space to explore yours.

Living with a long-term health condition isn鈥檛 just a physical experience - it can deeply affect your emotions, relationships, and sense of identity. You may find yourself feeling anxious about the future, guilt around not being able to 鈥渄o it all,鈥 or grief for the life you once imagined. These feelings are valid, and you don鈥檛 have to face them alone.

I鈥檓 an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist based in Bristol, specialising in emotional and mental support for people living with chronic illness and long-term health conditions.  I offer a compassionate, calm space where you can explore the emotional impact of your health challenges, reconnect with your inner strength, and begin to feel more like yourself again - beyond your diagnosis.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by the daily demands of managing your health, adjusting to new limitations, or struggling with isolation, therapy can help you regain a sense of balance and control in the midst of uncertainty. Together, we can explore healthier ways to cope, strengthen your emotional wellbeing, and support you in living a life that feels more aligned and empowered.

Practice description

I offer counselling in Bristol, including Clifton Down / Cotham Hill  and Stokes Croft. Sessions are available in person or online, depending on your needs.

My integrative approach draws on relational psychotherapy, CBT, compassion-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques to tailor therapy to your unique experience. I work with young people and adults in Bristol who are:

  • Living with chronic illness or long-term health conditions
  • Experiencing health-related anxiety, grief, or burnout
  • Navigating identity shifts and impact of health on relationships
  • Looking to reconnect with themselves beyond their diagnosis

My first session

During our first session, I will take the time to understand your current challenges and explore the difficulties you are facing. We will also go through the counselling agreement, and there will be an opportunity for you to ask any questions about the agreement, how I work, or my practice. As part of our discussion, we may explore any potential risks to your wellbeing and establish whether you have a support network in place. Together, we will begin to identify what you are looking for from therapy/ therapy goals and work collaboratively towards fostering positive change and personal growth.
