ONLINE THERAPY AND COUNSELLING
I am a client-centered therapist with an online practice where I hold a space for you with warmth and empathy, acceptance and understanding. My practice hours are Mondays to Thursdays, between 10h00 and 20h00. I provide short, medium or long term therapy, and I currently have spaces available for taking on new clients. I offer discounted rates for students.
About me and my therapy practice
Prior to moving to the UK in 2009, I practiced in Cape Town, where I worked as a student counsellor at three different universities, as well as having a private practice where my areas of interest included individual therapy for adults for the emotional difficulties you are experiencing; supporting athletes with their mental approach to improve performance; providing career counselling for school leavers and play therapy for children. I currently hold weekly online sessions throughout the working week.
Practice description
Therapy is a safe space for you to explore and work through your feelings, to support you with emotional difficulties you might be experiencing. It provides the space for you to develop coping skills you might be needing, to process your feelings, to gain insight into how you are experiencing life, and to work through emotional struggles such as anxiety, stress, depression or feeling unfulfilled in life. I provide a welcoming online space where you will feel heard and supported. Here you can begin to gain insights, explore ways to overcome challenges, develop emotional resilience and restore your sense of wellbeing.
During our sessions I listen to your experience, hold unconditional positive regard for you, and show you understanding and empathy for the issues that you bring to the counselling space. I am here to witness your life experience, to be present for you, and to support you through your emotional difficulties and nurture wellbeing. Together we can explore new ways of being to improve resilience or develop effective coping skills or make those life changes to enhance your wellbeing. Each week you can decide what you would like to discuss, explore or process, and I am here for you through that experience.
Therapy is also a space where you can explore and discover your personal values, strengths, and capabilities that can support you reaching your life goals, whether that be existentially-driven or career-based needs. This approach offers potential for positive change, allowing you to move forward feeling better able to cope with life's challenges or discover what brings you fulfilment. I provide short or long term therapy, to suit your needs. If my approach resonates with you, contact me and we can book in your first session. I look forward to working with you.
