About me and my therapy practice
I’m a psychodynamic counsellor offering a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space where you can begin to explore and make sense of difficult thoughts and emotions, especially when it feels hard to open up to friends or family.
Together, we’ll look at what might be going on beneath the surface, uncovering patterns and feelings that may be outside your awareness, and consider how past experiences could be influencing your present life. I believe in creating a space that’s set apart from the demands of daily life, somewhere you can speak freely, reflect deeply, and feel truly heard.
I’m a registered member of the Â鶹Դ´ (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and I have worked with people of all ages and backgrounds, supporting clients through a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, bereavement, illness, work-related stress, and relationship difficulties. Alongside my private practice, I work as a therapist in a cancer support service, and I’ve also supported students in a university counselling setting.
Whether this is your first time seeking therapy or you're returning during a difficult period, I’ve seen how the therapeutic process can bring relief, clarity, and meaningful change through greater self-understanding.
My first session
I offer a free phone consultation (up to 30 minutes) to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and for you to ask any questions you may have. The next step is to meet face-to-face or online for an initial exploratory session, to think further about what you want to get from therapy and to help you decide if I am the right therapist for you.
