About me and my therapy practice

Experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship difficulties, or challenging life transitions? It is normal to seek support during difficult times. I offer a collaborative and supportive therapeutic space where we can explore your experiences together, build on your strengths, and work towards meaningful and sustainable change.

I am a Humanistic Psychotherapist and a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with over 10 years of clinical experience in the mental health field. I work in both English and Spanish and support individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

My experience includes working within NHS Talking Therapies services, as well as in community-based and primary care mental health settings. I have supported clients presenting with anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related difficulties, PTSD, stress, and adjustment issues, as well as complex emotional and relational challenges.

My approach is integrative, grounded in Humanistic values and the therapeutic relationship, while also drawing on evidence-based CBT interventions where appropriate. I aim to offer a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard and supported to develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and practical coping strategies.

Sessions are tailored to individual needs and may include reflective work or between-session tasks when helpful to support therapeutic progress.

Practice description

My therapeutic work is primarily based on regular scheduled sessions, where we focus on your goals and therapeutic process in a structured and consistent way.

Between sessions, I may occasionally offer brief follow-up emails where appropriate, such as sharing agreed resources, reflections, or practical exercises linked to the work discussed in session. This is intended to support continuity of the therapeutic process, rather than ongoing or frequent contact.

Clients are welcome to reflect on the work between sessions, and we may review any agreed exercises during our sessions together. However, ongoing between-session communication is limited in order to maintain clear therapeutic boundaries and protect the focus of the work within the session space.

The level of between-session contact is always agreed collaboratively and may vary depending on individual need and clinical appropriateness.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to therapy. We will discuss your current difficulties, personal history where relevant, and what you hope to achieve from therapy. This helps us to develop a shared understanding of your needs and begin to shape a therapeutic focus.

I also use the initial session to carry out a brief assessment, which may include exploring emotional wellbeing, current symptoms (such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related difficulties), and any relevant background information. This ensures that therapy is tailored appropriately and safely to your individual circumstances.

You will have the opportunity to ask any questions about the way I work, and we will also go through practical aspects of therapy, including confidentiality, boundaries, and how sessions are structured.

The first session is a full therapeutic session and is charged at the standard rate. There is no obligation to continue beyond this session, and you are encouraged to reflect on whether you feel comfortable working together.
