About me and my therapy practice

Welcome

Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, low in mood, or struggling to manage the daily challenges of ADHD or depression? You鈥檙e not alone 鈥 and you don鈥檛 have to navigate it on your own.

I work with young people (11鈥18) and adults who are finding life difficult right now. Whether you're experiencing persistent worry, panic, overthinking, low motivation, emotional ups and downs, self-doubt, or challenges related to ADHD or autism, I offer a warm, compassionate and supportive space where you can feel heard and understood.

Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling:

Constantly anxious or on edge

Stuck in cycles of overthinking

Drained or disconnected due to depression

Overwhelmed by ADHD symptoms such as focus difficulties, emotional regulation struggles or burnout

Lacking confidence or feeling 鈥渘ot good enough鈥

Navigating family or relationship challenges

As your therapist, I won鈥檛 assume to know you better than you know yourself. You are the expert on your own life. However, when anxiety, depression or ADHD take hold, it can be hard to make sense of your thoughts, behaviours and patterns. Together, we gently explore what鈥檚 happening beneath the surface and find practical, meaningful ways forward.

If you鈥檝e never reached out for counselling before, it can feel daunting. I take care to move at your pace and adapt therapy to suit you. Together, we鈥檒l create a therapeutic roadmap tailored to your needs 鈥 whether that鈥檚 managing anxiety, improving focus and self-esteem with ADHD, lifting low mood, or building stronger coping strategies.

If you鈥檙e feeling weighed down, not quite yourself, or simply need someone to talk to, I can help. Counselling offers a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings with a trained professional 鈥 so you can better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Practice description

Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step. Whether you鈥檙e experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, low self-esteem, anger, or relationship and family challenges, you don鈥檛 have to manage it alone.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor our work to you. There is no 鈥渙ne size fits all鈥 in therapy 鈥 we are all shaped by our experiences, relationships and environments. By integrating different models, I can adapt our sessions to suit your personality, goals and the pace that feels right for you.

I work with young people (11鈥18) and adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in cycles of overthinking, struggling with emotional regulation, or finding it difficult to understand their own patterns and responses. Many clients come to me feeling exhausted by anxiety, weighed down by low mood, or frustrated by the impact of ADHD or ASD on daily life, relationships or self-confidence.

In our work together, I offer a warm, non-judgmental and collaborative space where you can feel heard and understood. I see you as the expert in your own life. My role is to listen actively, offer gentle challenge where helpful, and support you in developing insight, practical coping strategies and lasting change.

We may explore past experiences, current stressors, or focus on building tools to manage anxiety, lift mood, strengthen boundaries and improve self-esteem. Together, we create a therapeutic roadmap that feels clear and achievable.

My first session

My First Session

I understand that coming to your first counselling session can feel daunting, so I aim to make the experience as warm, welcoming and comfortable as possible. My priority is to help you feel at ease and able to talk at your own pace.

The initial session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore what has brought you to therapy. It鈥檚 also a chance for you to decide whether I feel like the right therapist for you. Feeling safe and comfortable is essential for therapy to be effective, so there is no pressure or expectation 鈥 this is a space for you to ask questions and see if we can work well together.

During this first session, I will usually complete an initial assessment. This helps me gain a fuller understanding of your current concerns, relevant background information, and what you would like to achieve from counselling. The assessment is collaborative and conversational 鈥 not a test 鈥 and you are free to share only what feels comfortable.

We will also talk about how I work, discuss confidentiality, and agree on practical arrangements such as session frequency and goals. By the end of the session, we will have a clearer sense of the next steps and whether we would like to continue working together.

Above all, the first session is about creating a safe starting point for your therapeutic journey.
