About me and my therapy practice

Wanting change

From the outside, you seem capable and confident, and in many ways, you are. You manage at work, show up in relationships, and do what's expected of you.

But inside, something doesn鈥檛 feel right. Maybe you鈥檝e been feeling anxious or low. Perhaps your confidence has slipped, or you鈥檝e noticed patterns repeating in relationships. For example, you might find it hard to trust, feel like a 'bad' parent, or your ongoing support is taken for granted by friends and family. You might have experienced trauma or, just have a persistent sense that something is wrong.

Echoes from the past

Sometimes the roots of our feelings run deeper than we realise. You may not think of your experiences as 'trauma', but the body remembers what the mind had to suppress in order to cope. Over time, this can show up as, depression or anxiety, people-pleasing, difficulty trusting others or a constant sense of not being 'enough'.

It can also appear as physical symptoms, such as, migraines/tension headaches, digestive issues, tense muscles or unexplained chronic pain. You don鈥檛 have to make sense of it all before starting therapy. What matters is finding a space where you can be heard.

Life can be different

I can't promise to take your problems away. A good start is to share how you are feeling. The experience of being heard and accepted can make you feel lighter. It is not about changing you, it is about understanding and accepting who you really are. Over time, clients I have worked with have reported that over time they feel kinder towards themselves and less prone to rumination, overthinking, and self blame.

In summary, this work often brings gentle but meaningful changes. You may begin to:

  • Trusting your feelings/instincts
  • Notice patterns in your thinking and relationships without shame or self-blame
  • Soften your relationship with that critical inner voice
  • Feel safer in relationships to express your needs and boundaries
  • Relax about how you relate to others and enjoy your close relationships

Practice description

What Therapy with Me Is Like

You鈥檙e welcome to show up exactly as you are. That is enough, and I will meet you there. However you arrive, we鈥檒l work with it together.

Some weeks, you might want to share what鈥檚 been happening day-to-day or explore a relationship in more depth. Other weeks, we might slow right down and notice how your body carries what you鈥檝e been through, perhaps in the way your breath changes, or how your shoulders lift without you realising.

All of these could be subtle signs of past coping mechanisms echoing in the present moment and noticing them together can open the door to understanding them with more care and compassion.

Who I Work With

I work with adults and young people (16+) in-person in Epsom and Banstead, and online across the UK.
