About me and my therapy practice
Many people come to counselling because they’re struggling with anxiety, stress, or a sense of being overwhelmed. You may find yourself constantly worrying, feeling tense, or unable to switch off. Perhaps your anxiety has been triggered by a recent change, loss, or ongoing pressure. Whatever the cause, you don’t have to face it alone.
I offer person-centred, integrative therapy — a flexible approach that allows us to work in a way that feels right for you. Together, we can explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns of anxiety in a safe, non-judgmental space. My aim is to help you understand yourself more deeply, develop self-compassion, and find ways to feel calmer and more in control.
I am a registered anxiety counsellor with Anxiety U.K. and a qualified bereavement counsellor, experienced in supporting people through anxiety, loss, and emotional distress. I also work with clients managing the additional pressures that can come with ADHD, autism, and dyslexia, helping them navigate a world that often feels designed for others.
I work with adults and young people aged 15 and over, providing both short-term and open-ended therapy depending on your needs. Whether you’re experiencing generalised anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, or anxiety linked to grief or life transitions, we can work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
My practice is a safe and inclusive space for members of the LGBTQ+ community, where all aspects of your identity are respected and welcomed.
Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step, especially if anxiety has made life feel uncertain. If you’d like to find out more about how we could work together, please get in touch — I’d be happy to arrange an initial conversation to see if I might be the right counsellor for you.
Practice description
My counselling room is a kind, calm, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings, fears, and desires without shame. It’s a place to explore your authentic self in a supportive and nurturing environment, where you’ll be met with warmth and understanding.
Many of the people I work with experience anxiety, stress, or a sense of being overwhelmed. You might find it hard to relax, feel constantly on edge, or struggle with racing thoughts. Together, we’ll work to understand what lies beneath these feelings and explore ways to manage them with greater ease and self-compassion. I believe that anxiety often signals something within us that needs attention — therapy offers the space to listen to that message and begin to heal.
I offer person-centred, integrative therapy, meaning our sessions are shaped around you and what you need. We’ll focus on what you hope to achieve from counselling and regularly review how things are progressing. You’ll always be in control of the pace and direction of your sessions, and I’ll be beside you — offering empathy, support, and gentle challenge when it’s helpful.
I work with adults and young people aged 15 and over, supporting clients with anxiety, loss, and life changes, as well as those living with ADHD, autism, and dyslexia, who may experience added pressures in a neurotypical world.
My practice is a safe space for members of the LGBTQ+ community, where everyone is welcome to explore who they are without fear of judgment.
My aim is to help you build on your strengths, heal from your past, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself so you can move forward with greater confidence.
My first session
Your first counselling session is an opportunity for us to meet and begin to get a sense of whether we feel comfortable working together. This initial session lasts one hour (rather than the usual 50 minutes), giving us time to talk through what has brought you to counselling and what you would like to gain from the process.
My counselling room is a kind and non-judgmental environment where you can talk about your feelings, fears, and desires without shame. It’s a safe place to explore your authentic self in a nurturing and understanding space. There is no pressure to share more than feels right — this first session is about helping you feel at ease and giving you time to ask any questions you might have.
Together, we will begin to look at what you would like to achieve from counselling and how I can best support you. We’ll also talk about how I work, confidentiality, and practicalities such as session length, frequency, and fees.
I see counselling as a collaborative process, where you are in control of the pace and direction, and I am beside you — listening, guiding, and supporting you as we begin to build trust and understanding.
My hope is that this first session gives you a sense of what it’s like to work with me and helps you decide whether this feels like the right space for you.
