About me and my therapy practice
Do you feel lost or disconnected from yourself, or struggling to make sense of life after loss? Perhaps trauma, anxiety, depression, or low self-worth feel overwhelming. You may feel stuck — going through the motions, feeling numb, or noticing patterns and choices that no longer serve you.
I offer therapy that is collaborative, grounded, and focused on meaningful change. Drawing on psychodynamic therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), I support people through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. I work with individuals seeking clarity, couples wanting to understand one another more deeply, and clients wishing to process trauma through EMDR. My approach is relational and intuitive, shaping each session around the person or relationship in front of me.
In our work together, I integrate different psychological approaches to suit your needs. With individuals, we explore patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaviour to build self-awareness and support change. With couples, I focus on the dynamic between you — exploring communication, emotional triggers, and relational cycles that may be keeping you stuck, while helping both partners feel heard. With EMDR clients, we process distressing memories so they no longer carry the same emotional intensity in the present.
While our work often focuses on what is happening in your life now, we may also explore earlier experiences such as attachment, family dynamics, and significant relationships that shape how you think, feel, and relate to others today.
I am known for being honest and sometimes straight-talking, but always with warmth and respect. Reaching out for therapy usually means something in life needs to shift, and thoughtful challenge can support real change. Even in difficult moments, humour can bring perspective when things feel heavy.
Practice description
My practice is grounded in an integrative approach, meaning I draw on a range of psychological models and therapeutic tools to support each client’s needs. No two people or relationships are the same, so therapy with me is always tailored, flexible, and responsive to what you bring into the room.
At the heart of my work is relational therapy. The therapeutic relationship creates a safe space where patterns, emotions, and ways of relating can be explored and understood. Meaningful change often begins when we feel genuinely seen, heard, and able to reflect honestly on our experiences.
As a psychodynamic therapist, I am interested in how your past may be influencing your present. Together we may explore attachment patterns, childhood experiences, family dynamics, and significant relationships that have shaped the beliefs you hold about yourself and others.
Alongside this, I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy used to process trauma and distressing memories, helping reduce the emotional intensity they hold in the present.
When working with individuals, we focus on self-awareness and understanding emotional patterns. With couples, I help explore communication styles, emotional triggers, and relational cycles that may be keeping you stuck, supporting both partners to feel heard.
Throughout our work I aim to be thoughtful, authentic, and at times gently challenging, always with warmth and respect. Therapy is not about judgement, but about creating the conditions where insight, healing, and meaningful change can take place.
