About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Stacey welcome to my page. I am a dedicated and compassionate therapist committed to helping you navigate life's challenges. I work 1-2-1 with both adults and children aged 11+ and work with a range of issues including complex trauma, addictive behaviour, anxiety and panic attacks, depression, grief, loss and bereavement, relationship issues, low self esteem, co-dependency and narcissistic abuse and recovery. I specialise in providing a safe non- judgemental space for individuals like you to explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences.
Practice description
Therapy and counselling should be unique to your needs: I work with both short term and long-term therapy and offer weekly or bi-weekly sessions.
The sessions can be face to face in my calming office in Rayleigh high street, I also offer telephone or online sessions.
My approach is rooted in empathy, active listening and collaboration. I believe that each persons journey is unique, and so I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs.
Through our sessions, we will explore your strengths, identify patterns, and develop practical strategies to overcome obstacles. My goal is to empower you with the tools and insights necessary to create positive change and lead to a more fulfilling life.
My first session
I understand how daunting it can feel to contact a counsellor especially when you may feel overwhelmed or confused. This is why I offer a FREE 20 minute telephone consultation which will help you understand how I work and for you to tell me a little bit about what's going on for you right now. It will also give you the opportunity to ask me any questions. This can help us to ensure I am the right counsellor for your needs.
Once your first session is booked I will confirm all the details via email and will send you a copy of our therapeutic agreement for you to read over and complete ahead of our session.
Within the first session we will talk about what has brought you to counselling, we will also talk about how we can work together - and this will develop as we continue on your counselling journey.
Sometimes the first session can feel a little scary or worrying especially if this is your first time in therapy, be rest assured I will be with you every step of the way and we will work at your pace.
Your comfort and needs are my priority at all times.
You might have thought about this step for a while. I hope you will be able to believe that you are worth that step and then trust the process with me supporting you.

About me and my therapy practice
The Essex Therapy Hub is a counselling agency offering online therapeutic support to adults across the UK. We work collaboratively, providing access to qualified, registered counsellors who are members of the Â鶹Դ´ and who adhere to its Ethical Framework.
We offer short- and longer-term counselling, depending on individual needs. Our approach is grounded in careful assessment, ensuring that clients are matched with a counsellor whose training, experience, and availability best suits their presenting concerns and preferences.
Sessions are delivered online in a confidential and secure way, allowing clients to access therapy from a space that feels comfortable and accessible to them. We recognise that online counselling is not suitable for everyone, and we discuss this openly as part of the initial contact and assessment process.
We work with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Our counsellors practise from a variety of therapeutic approaches, enabling us to offer flexible and responsive support.
We are committed to improving access to counselling and offer low-cost options where possible, as we believe financial circumstances should not be a barrier to seeking support. Clear information about fees and availability is provided at the outset.
Throughout the therapeutic process, we prioritise safety, ethical practice, and respect for each client’s autonomy, working at a pace that feels appropriate and supportive.
Practice description
The Essex Therapy Hub offers online counselling for adults across the UK, providing a supportive and thoughtful space for people who are struggling, feeling stuck, or simply wanting a place to talk things through.
We know that getting in touch can feel hard, especially if you’re not sure what you need or whether counselling will help. Our first contact is about listening, answering questions, and helping you decide what feels right for you. There is no pressure to commit, and we take care to move at a pace that feels manageable.
We work as a counselling agency with a team of qualified counsellors who are registered members of the Â鶹Դ´ and who work in line with its Ethical Framework. Each counsellor brings their own experience and way of working, and we aim to match people with someone who feels like a good fit for them and their situation.
Sessions are offered online, allowing flexibility and privacy, and enabling people to access support from a space that feels comfortable to them. We talk openly about whether online counselling feels suitable and make thoughtful decisions around safety, confidentiality, and support.
We are committed to making counselling more accessible and offer a range of fee options, including low-cost sessions where available. We believe that money should not be a barrier to getting help and aim to be clear and open about costs from the beginning.
At the heart of our work is the belief that being listened to, understood, and supported can make a meaningful difference. Therapy is a shared process, shaped by each person’s needs, experiences, and hopes.
My first session
The first session is a chance for you and your counsellor to begin getting to know one another and to think together about what you might want from counselling. It is a gentle starting point rather than an in-depth or pressured assessment.
Your counsellor will invite you to talk about what has brought you to therapy and what feels important for you to share at that time. There is no expectation to talk about everything straight away, and you can take things at your own pace. You are always in control of what you choose to share.
Your counsellor will also explain how they work, including practical details such as confidentiality, boundaries, and how sessions are structured. This is an opportunity to ask questions and to get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
Some basic information may be gathered in the first session to help ensure counselling is appropriate and supportive for your needs, particularly around safety and suitability for online work. Any information shared is treated with care and confidentiality.
If you decide to continue, you and your counsellor can begin to think together about what you would like to focus on going forward. If it becomes clear that a different kind of support might be more helpful, this will be discussed openly and thoughtfully.
We aim for the first session to feel welcoming, steady, and respectful, recognising that taking this step can feel significant.
