Fees

Self-funding: All sessions are payable via bank transfer prior to the session itself.

Insurance: If your health insurance covers counselling and psychotherapy, you will need to let your provider know that you are currently seeking therapy. Once they have given you their approval to proceed (sometimes known as ‘Authorisation’), we can arrange your first 50-minute Consultation appointment. You do not need their authorisation to request a free Introductory call with me.

I am registered with Aviva, AXA Health, Vitality and WPA. The name of my psychotherapy business is ‘Psychotherapy with Kerry Williams’.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Kerry. I’m an experienced Psychotherapist based in Bucks and London W2. With more than 11 years of therapeutic expertise in mental health, I provide effective online (Zoom) and in-person therapy to adults struggling with various aspects of their lives.

I offer a calm and confidential space where you can feel safe, supported and understood - even when your life is at its most difficult. Whether you have a specific problem, such as relationship or work difficulties, loss, personal trauma, a big decision to make, or are feeling sad, stressed or worried, I give you time to slow down, reflect, and find clarity so that you can start to feel more like yourself again.

Common problems I see in my therapy room include:

  • Overwhelm, stress, and burnout
  • Anxiety, panic, and persistent worrying
  • Low self-worth or inner criticism
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress
  • Complex PTSD (C-PTSD)
  • Perfectionism and people-pleasing
  • Grief, bereavement, and ambiguous loss
  • Living with physical health conditions such as ME/CFS or Long Covid
  • Challenges linked to childhood or family history
  • Loneliness or a sense of disconnection
  • Life transitions, decision-making, or identity shifts
  • A search for meaning, purpose, or a deeper sense of self
  • Depression or emotional flatness
  • Shame and guilt
  • Sexual concerns and intimacy challenges

Whatever your reasons are for seeking out help, please know they are valid. I understand it can be hard to share difficult, painful, or embarrassing things, and I want to acknowledge the anxiety that can arise when deciding to ask for support for yourself.

While it often feels nerve-wracking to take the first step, know that by doing so, you're already initiating an important change for yourself - and I am always happy to discuss any difficulties you may be experiencing to see if I can help.

Practice description

Training

I’m trained across a wide range of psychological issues, and as an Integrative Psychotherapist, I'm not limited to just one way of working. I draw from psychodynamic and humanistic approaches, as well as internal family systems, sensorimotor psychotherapy,  and polyvagal theory (which can be especially effective for people who've experienced complex trauma growing up, or find themselves in especially difficult relationships in adulthood).

Although most of the time, we'll likely be doing 'talking therapy', breathing exercises can be incorporated to help restore balance, and dream analysis and/or guided visualisations can help shed additional light on deeper psychological issues that can be harder to articulate.

Qualifications

  • Four-Year Post-Graduate Diploma (Dip. Psych.) in Counselling and Psychotherapy (UKCP)
  • One-Year Certificate in the Foundations of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹ԭ´´, UKCP)
  • Introduction to Counselling Skills (CPCAB)
  • UKCP Accreditation
  • Â鶹ԭ´´ Registration

I frequently undertake ongoing personal and professional development.

Therapeutic Experience

During my early clinical career, I worked for several years at a counselling agency in Chesham, Bucks. As a member of their Psychotherapy Team, I provided counselling and psychotherapy to adults experiencing mental health issues, trauma, bereavement and loss, family difficulties, and difficult early life experiences.

In 2016, I founded my Private Practice, and for the next four years, continued to provide in-person counselling and psychotherapy to adults throughout the Chilterns region.

In March 2020, I evolved my practice into an online psychotherapy business, enabling me to work with clients throughout the UK and internationally. Due to the continued demand for my online therapy appointments, I provide online-only sessions from Monday to Thursday.

In January 2025, I opened my London Therapy Clinic in Maida Vale, W2 (near Paddington Station), where I offer face-to-face sessions every Friday from 12pm to 4pm.

My first session

One of the most important things when looking for a therapist is to find someone you feel comfortable with, can relate to, and feel supported by. During your initial telephone consultation, we begin by exploring what’s prompted you to reach out. This could be something that’s currently happening in your life that you’re finding increasingly hard to cope with, or maybe there’s something from your past that feels unresolved. Or maybe it’s a combination of both. We’ll also touch on your hopes for your therapy and for yourself.

This begins to help me check whether the type of therapy I offer is going to be of potential help for you, and is for you to see how comfortable you feel with me.

What to do next

If you’d like to enquire further, please get in touch to request your free 15-minute Introductory call. Thank you for telling me a little about what is troubling you, your availability for sessions (days and times), and your preference for session type (Zoom or in-person).

To contact me, you can email me or send me your enquiry using the ‘Contact Me’ page on my website. If you prefer to call, and I’m not available when you ring me, do leave me a voicemail so that I can get back to you. I really look forward to hearing from you.
