About me and my therapy practice
Hi. When times are hard it can feel difficult to reach out for support but it can help to talk to someone outside of the situation.
Do you need time and space to share the difficulties you are experiencing with your life? It takes courage to start to see a counsellor, but receiving counselling can be a rewarding and empowering way forward for you.
I offer a safe and confidential space for you to explore your problems. My approach is person centered, honest and collaborative
Practice description
I am a degree qualified and Â鶹Դ´ Registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist, with a private practice in Rugby, Warwickshire.
Prior to qualifying as a therapist, I held several professional roles in the education sector supporting adults, children and families experiencing difficult circumstances, especially related to anxiety, relationship difficulties, health issues, self esteem, depression, motivation and personal development.
I am committed to a confidential, non- judgemental and respectful approach. Above all I want you to know I am sincere and passionate about making a difference in people’s lives. I believe we all have the ability to challenge how things are for us, to improve our circumstances, to accept the past and move towards improving our situation.
We can work together to explore and make sense of whatever is troubling you and look to heal the hurt. I won’t tell you what to do, but together we can find solutions.
My aim is to create a trusting relationship between us in which you can feel accepted, be in touch with your feelings and talk about your concerns, to find ways to cope, grow and heal and gain insight to understand yourself better.
My therapy is person centred and encourages acceptance, forgiveness, self-respect and love for yourself and others.
Therapy isn't always a comfortable experience, it can be an emotional roller coaster. But whatever you are going through, you don't have to work it out on your own. Together we can discover what will bring the healing that you desire and deserve.
My first session
Our first conversation will be an opportunity for you to share all that has weighed you down and brought you to counselling. Along with what you would like from the counselling process.
We can also talk about whether counselling is right for you at this moment and agree on when we can meet on future occasions.
I can then send the counselling paperwork to you by email (if you have access) before our first session, to minimise the time spent completing this.
Payment is made in cash at the start of the session or by bank transfer at least two hours before the start of the session.
I offer a free 30 minute initial conversation by phone or by zoom.

About me and my therapy practice
Life can feel messy, uncertain, and overwhelming at times — and none of us are immune to struggle. As an experienced therapist, I offer compassionate support to individuals who are feeling emotionally unsettled or navigating inner turmoil. This may include life transitions such as ageing, moving away, relationship changes, career shifts, or unexpected loss, as well as the impact of difficult experiences or unresolved trauma. Therapy can support deeper understanding, emotional relief, and a stronger connection with yourself, others, and your life as a whole.
Through therapy I provide a calm, welcoming space where you can pause, reflect, and feel truly heard. Whatever you bring will be met with sensitivity, care, and respect, and we will work together at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you. Having a consistent, dependable therapeutic relationship — and time dedicated solely to you — can be deeply transformative, often bringing clarity, relief, renewed perspective, and hope.
I’m not a distant or clinical presence. I offer a warm, steady, and down-to-earth space where you can feel heard and understood. I bring a thoughtful, reflective approach, while deeply respecting you, your experiences, and your journey through life. I work with care, integrity, and professionalism, and follow Â鶹Դ´ ethical standards.
If my approach or availability isn’t quite the right fit, I’m always happy to offer guidance to help you find the support that best meets your needs.
Practice description
Prior to qualifying as a therapist, I held several professional roles in Industry and in the education sector supporting adults, children and families experiencing difficult circumstances. My experience includes working with trauma, culture, depression, anxiety, anger, relationship difficulties, infertility, health challenges, motivation, self-esteem, confidence, and personal development.
Through my work, I’ve learned that there is no single approach that suits everyone. Therapy works best when it is shaped around you — your experiences, needs, and pace. Where helpful, I draw on a range of therapeutic tools to gently bring awareness to distress, unease, or trauma, ensuring you feel supported rather than overwhelmed or misunderstood.
Therapy, like life, isn’t always comfortable. It can be emotional and challenging at times, but there is also room for warmth, humour, laughter, and being fully yourself — even the occasional swear word. Many clients are surprised to find that therapy can become one of the most meaningful, and sometimes most enjoyable, parts of their week.
Reaching out for support can feel daunting. But so can continuing to live with ongoing emotional strain or a sense that something just isn’t right. If you’ve reached a point where you feel you have had enough, or know you need someone else to support you but aren’t sure who or how, you don’t have to work it out alone. I would be honoured to support you in finding a way forward that brings greater ease, healing, and fulfilment.
My first session
I offer telephone and online counselling, which many people find a flexible and accessible way to receive support. These options work well if you value privacy, have a busy lifestyle, health concerns, caring responsibilities, mobility difficulties, or find travelling challenging. All that’s needed is a quiet, confidential space.
Sessions are planned and regular, lasting 60 minutes, with flexibility where possible to suit your circumstances. All enquiries are responded to within 48 hours and include a free, no-obligation 20-minute consultation. If you haven’t heard back, please check your junk or spam folder. If discretion is important to you, you’re welcome to note this in your enquiry along with suitable times to be contacted.
I understand that financial circumstances can change, particularly during periods of emotional difficulty. If this is a concern, please feel free to reach out, as concessionary spaces may be available.
Your first full session is an opportunity to talk through any questions or concerns you may have, explore what has brought you to therapy, clarify what you’d like to gain from our work together, and discuss how we might move forward. We can also agree on the frequency and duration of sessions, whether open-ended or time-limited.

About me and my therapy practice
Are you looking for a change in your life? A change from feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or disconnected—whether from yourself, from those around you, or from the life you imagined. You might be dealing with anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship struggles, loss, or a sense of being stuck. Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to face it on your own.
Working with me in therapy provides a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can speak freely and begin to explore and make sense of what feels most challenging and begin to make the changes you desire.
What you can expect:
A caring therapeutic relationship built on respect, warmth, and a genuine interest in understanding who you are and what matters to you.
Your lived experience, values, and personal meaning are central to our work together. Therapy is shaped around your individual needs rather than labels or rigid frameworks.
I bring experience supporting people with a broad range of concerns, including anxiety, low mood, anger, relationship and family difficulties, trauma or abuse, loss and bereavement and self-esteem issues—while always recognising your individuality.
My role is to walk alongside you, offering insight and support as you reflect, gain clarity, and make choices that feel right for you.
