In person sessions are held at my home in my counselling room.

Online or telephone sessions are effective and especially helpful for people who need to fit counselling into a busy day, such as a lunch hour, for those with mobility issues, or those who simply prefer to work this way.

About me and my therapy practice

Are you looking to explore talking therapy with an experienced I work mainly with women experiencing burnout, overwhelm, a loss of self, and often peri/menopause. We consider the emotions, past experience, the physical self, and all that you are holding, and find ways to focus more energy on you.

I offer weekly sessions or fortnightly sessions if this is more affordable.

In this call, we can get a feel for whether or not we feel inspired to work together, as a good therapeutic relationship can lead to more rewarding results.

Practice description

I offer an initial free 15 minute informal telephone consultation, which helps us to decide if working together feels comfortable.

If you wish to continue with full sessions, I send you my contract that sets out the terms of the service I provide. I ask for basic personal information and an emergency contact. You are free to ask me questions prior to signing, as the contract can potentially be adapted to your individual situation.

I hold in person, online or telephone sessions and single session therapy, which involves working with a specific topic in one session only. Please contact me to discuss whether your issue is suitable for one session only.

My first session

My first full counselling session begins with a short assessment to establish your general wellbeing and the issues you would like to bring to counselling.

After this, we explore in more detail what you are hoping to address in counselling sessions, what outcomes you are hoping for, and any questions you might have. We can also talk about what approaches might be helpful to you, either adapting or adding to this as sessions progress.
