I offer a 15 minutes free telephone consultation to discuss the reasons why you are seeking counselling, to introduce myself and the way I work.

I am currently available to see new clients. My hours of work are:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 18:00 to 22:00

Saturdays from 09:00 to 17:00

About me and my therapy practice

My name is Edinson, and I am an experienced counsellor working with adults and couples, offering a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space in which emotional, psychological, and relational difficulties can be explored. I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, trauma, bereavement, loss, relationship challenges, and identity-related concerns. I also work with individuals navigating life transitions, work pressures, and long-standing emotional patterns that affect wellbeing. My practice is grounded in a strong ethical framework, supported by ongoing supervision and professional development.

I have significant experience working with individuals who have experienced sexual abuse in childhood or adulthood. I approach this work with sensitivity and a trauma-informed perspective, recognising the lasting emotional and relational impact of these experiences. Therapy is carefully paced according to each client’s readiness, with safety and collaboration central to the process. I aim to create an environment where clients feel heard and respected, enabling them to build self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and client-centred. I draw on relational, psychodynamic, attachment-informed, and mindfulness-based perspectives to tailor therapy to each person’s needs. I also work with couples using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, an evidence-based, attachment-focused model that helps partners change negative interaction cycles and strengthen emotional bonds.

In addition, I work with addiction and addictive behaviours, including alcohol and drug misuse, co-dependency, and behavioural addictions such as gambling, internet use, sex, food, smoking, and work addiction. I understand addiction within a broader emotional context, recognising links with trauma, shame, attachment patterns, and self-worth. I work collaboratively with clients to build insight and support meaningful change.
