About me and my therapy practice

Welcome, I'm Anna, a compassionate and skilled therapist. My goal is to help clients develop their own inner therapist so they can recognise triggers, find emotional balance and self-acceptance.

To support long-term change, I provide a psychological follow-up email after each session, summarising key insights and strategies. This helps to internalise a strong, healthy mindset and offers continued support between and beyond sessions.

I specialise in gently unpacking trauma, reducing anxiety, and building emotional resilience and communication skills. I work with issues including relationship difficulties, bereavement, depression, childhood trauma, emotion regulation, low self-esteem, social anxiety, self-harm, family dynamics, perinatal trauma, postnatal depression, baby loss, and historical sexual assault.

Practice description

We will meet either weekly or fortnightly. I find the first six sessions will be the development of the therapeutic relationship and me getting to know your inner world. Most clients have around 12 sessions. Therapy offers a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to talk about problems and anything that is overwhelming you. I aim to help you spot and break negative patterns. 

Sessions go at your pace. My job is to recognise when you need to be heard and emotionally supported, when you're ready to delve into uncomfortable trauma, and when to gently challenge you ensuring you get the most of out therapy.

My first session

I offer a free initial chat before we decide to work together.

In the first session, we will explore what brought you to therapy and discuss the people and life events that may come up during our work together. This subtle introduction allows us to get to know one another and build a therapeutic relationship. This foundation of trust will be invaluable as you share your inner thoughts, worries, and desires.
