About me and my therapy practice
Life brings many challenges, and we might, understandably, seek support in navigating them at times. Often, we can suppress our feelings of unhappiness, but deep down, we can feel the pain from our past or the anguish from our current problems. Even if we do have someone to talk to, we can feel unable to share the truth for fear of hurting others or being judged by them if they were to know how we feel.
My therapy opens up a place where you can come to make sense of what’s affecting you and start to explore your feelings in a space that I hope feels comfortable, non-judgmental and safe. As someone independent and outside of your day-to-day life, my approach nurtures a way for you to gain deeper self-awareness, enabling you to make meaningful choices or discover new ways of responding and relating to the world.
Every client brings a unique energy to the therapeutic space, so my approach adapts accordingly to meet your individual needs. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of therapy, and building trust and connection through holding space for you is at the heart of what I do.
I offer face-to-face and online therapy.
Practice description
I work as an integrative therapist, which means I'll listen closely to what's going on for you and adapt my approach to meet you where you are.
Here's some of the models I use and what that looks like in practice:
Humanistic Therapy gives you space to be fully yourself, especially if you've spent your life meeting others' expectations. It's gentle, empowering, and focused on reconnecting with your own voice and values.
Psychodynamic Therapy helps uncover the roots of current struggles, especially if your past still echoes in your relationships or self-worth today. Together, we look beneath the surface to understand the 'why' behind what you feel.
Systemic Therapy explores how family patterns, roles, or cultural messages have shaped you. It's especially helpful if you feel stuck in relationship dynamics that repeat, frustrate or confuse you.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) focuses on the link between thoughts, emotions and behaviour. If your mind feels busy, critical or spirals into "what ifs," CBT offers tools to calm that cycle and feel more grounded.
Transactional Analysis brings awareness to the roles and communication patterns we fall into - like always putting others first, avoiding conflict, or feeling stuck in the same emotional responses.
Mind-body Awareness helps you understand how your nervous system responds to stress or trauma. If you often feel on edge, shut down, or disconnected, this can be a gentle way to feel safer and more present in your body.
Whatever approach we use, the relationship we build is the foundation of our work. I'll be here to support you with warmth, steadiness, and respect.
My first session
Taking the first step can feel hard, but you're very welcome to reach out. I offer a free, informal call so you can ask any questions you may have and get a sense of whether therapy with me feels like the right fit. If you'd prefer, you can fill out the booking form to request a call-back at a time that works for you.
