About me and my therapy practice

Hello my name is Lorna, welcome to my page. I have worked in mental health for over 20 years, first as a Mental Health Nurse and now as an Integrative Counsellor. I am here to offer you a safe and compassionate space to explore any current difficulties you maybe experiencing. I work from a secluded and private cabin surrounded by nature.

Embarking on a journey towards counselling can often feel like a significant and at times an intimidating step. I offer a friendly, non judgmental and relaxed space to undergo this process.

The counselling process focuses on developing self awareness and self-compassion, rather than self criticism, and using a deeper understanding of yourself to create meaningful, positive change. Having someone who is neutral, non-judgmental, empathetic, and insightful can provide the support you need on your journey.

Navigating life’s journey can sometimes be really tough. We all have moments when the weight of our experiences, fears and challenges feels too heavy to carry alone. Feeling lost or cornered during such times is not uncommon.

My role is to offer you a sanctuary where together we can address the past or present issues that maybe affecting your day to day life, and find pathways to overcome the barriers you face.

I work as an integrative therapist which means I use a blend of therapeutic approaches and techniques. I qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in 2000 at St Bartholomew Nursing and Midwifery in london and then years later completed my training on the Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling.

My past experience working in a variety of mental health settings and in Addictions has given me a wide variety of therapy tools. I am passionate and care deeply for my clients and the core of my work is to build a safe and compassionate relationship.
